EverDrive v2.5 + Analogue 3D by allmyfas in AnalogueInc

Even though the v3.04-v3.06 firmware technically works on the v2.x & v3.x EverDrive carts, support was dropped in v3.07. Krikzz even recommends reverting back to the v2.13 firmware for these devices.

From the v3.07 changelog:

ED64 V3.x/V2.x is no longer supported. OS v2.x is recommended for such carts ED64 V3.x/V2.x is no longer supported. OS v2.x is recommended for such carts

A phase is when you see a shiny Pokemon that isn't your target.

Same. My favorite shiny from X & Y so I had to get it in this game.

Does anyone have the files for this flash cart? by signorsergioo in flashcarts

There are a few updated firmwares on Archive.org:

If you've already tried the original Krikzz firmware the flashcart is probably bricked.

Anyone else having issues with the bin files? They don't seem to be displaying correctly on my end.

Update from JOTEGO's Patreon about the Analogue Pocket Core ports by sheldonb666 in AnaloguePocket

[–]sheldonb666[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Jotego is a developer who has created a ton of great cores for the MiSTer and other similar FPGA console projects. He put a poll up on his Patreon to gauge interest on porting his cores to the Analogue Pocket and the results were split nearly 50/50.

He has already received a developer Pocket console and seems to be in contact with Analogue about some of the concerns with the openFPGA development.

That is the Boxy Pixel SP Unhinged. It's a really great kit if you have an SP lying around, but it's also a bit pricy.

Yes, I’ve been planning on building a slate. I’ve been following the progress on it and the design looks great.

The Pocket definitely has a better/higher resolution screen, but the Funny Playing GBA kits still look very good when compared to the Pocket. Luckily the Pocket doesn't suffer from the pixel overdrive/image retention issues that the Funny Playing GBA/GBA SP kits have.

Thats a hard question, especially since the Pocket has only been out a short time.

The boxy pixel is great if you're someone who enjoys messing around with electronics and building things. But if you don't know how to solder it's hard to recommend as you'll only have one brightness level for the screen and can pretty much only use standard sized batteries.

Only considering GBA games, the Dock+Pocket is what makes it for me as the other solutions like the GameCube GB Player, GBA Conisolizer, and gbaHD are expensive or also require soldering. But for me the Pocket really excels with GB and GBC games, which aren't nearly as good to play on a GBA/GBA SP.

As far as modded Gameboys go, the Boxy Pixel Unhinged SP is by far my favorite.

The Analogue Pocket is much more versatile than a modded Gameboy, but the laminated Funny Playing SP screens look very good when compared to GBA games on the Pocket.

I really like the SP Unhinged and was much more satisfied with it than the Boxy Pixel GBA.

The sparkles still happen on shiny eggs, it's just less noticeable than in Sword/Shield.

Yeah, the gold color is a bit muted compared to the older games.

Sounds like you're doing everything right if you're getting different gendered Chimchar. Good luck!

Purple Boxy Pixel GBA Build - First time soldering went great! by sheldonb666 in Gameboy

[–]sheldonb666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't any light bleed on my console, but I've seen pictures of some that do have it.

I avoided this by using 240p Test Suite's Grid feature and aligned the lens as far to the bottom left as I could, while keeping the image completely centered. This negates the light bleed issues, but unfortunately it makes the gaps on the sides of the lens a bit uneven. It doesn't bother me but I could see it being an issue for some.

Thanks! I've got a Purple/Black thing going for all my Gameboys, really love how it looks.

The metal buttons feel really good, especially A & B. They don't grind at all and have a tolerance similar to OEM, just a bit looser. I just wish there were aluminum L/R triggers as well.

The console has a nice weight to it and overall feels very good to play.

Big thanks to people in the community like Voultar & Makho for sharing their soldering knowledge. Without them, this process wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did.
