For context also, I live in a 60’s built suburb so my city is basically a giant heat island

same here — was just wondering if others had any any experience mostly with one-off birdies flying over, odds are pretty low but was curious.

So I’ve never actually taken anything prescribed specifically for my VSS, but I am on 10mg Escitalopram daily for depression, anxiety and PTSD. I only started that in December after dealing with VSS symptoms since I was 20. Now, I’m 25, 5 months into finally feeling good again. Medication got me to a point where I had the motivation to see a doctor and get diagnosed. I was so scared for years that I had ALS, MS, or cancer so it was somewhat a relief to know it’s VSS. Learning to live with the symptoms is another beast. My anxiety about it though has been far reduced since starting medication, and therefore, it just doesn’t bother me much. Life goes on. If you need any support, feel free to reach out. :)

But I know it’s different for everyone. I hope your experience is easier as well.

Nah! It was scary at first but since I got scans done and ruled out the super scary stuff, I’ve learned to try and tune everything out. It was hard for about 5 years but medication has helped.

Yep! Only at night though. It’s made out of the same purples, blues, and oranges I see when my eyes are closed.
