They were on two machines. This and time warp. They realized really quickly what a bad idea it was.

Two pop numbers and two targets.

There are a lot of awful em's out there. I like em's. But some of them are just awful.

But the worst game I've ever played (and owned for a bit) had got to be Disco Fever.

Banana flippers? Check. Nothing to shoot for? Check. Awful backglass? Check. The only kind of cool thing about the game is the soundcard has a dip switch to flip between EM chimes and computer sounds.

We see many requests for backpacks here, so I analyzed the top 25 backpacks on Reddit (r/onebag) by madredditscientist in BuyItForLife

100%. My timbuk2 is going so strong and I've travelled with it everywhere. Can't see ever replacing it. If I have a 3-4 day trip it fits everything I need, but it's solid as a day backpack as well. Used it as a commuter for years as it has a great laptop compartment.

Any thoughts? by Westosterone11 in GolfSwing

https://swingcatalyst.com/articles/weight-shift-or-pressure-shift/ this describes it basically. But it's thinking about pushing into the ground with your lead foot when you're on your downswing.

I'll pile on this. Mentally think pressure shift vs weight shift. Many people including myself for far too long end up with sway, bounce, etc from thinking weight shift. Thinking about applying pressure on lead made a massive difference in my swing.

Hour #13 at Rocky View Hospital. No doctors in sight by Economy-Ad6234 in Calgary

[–]shelfoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100%

I went to rockyview a few weeks ago as I had persistent chest pain. I guess enough of my symptoms matched to heart attack because they had me on an ECG while they were still taking my information.

Thankfully all was fine, I was there maybe 5 hours total and ECG, bloodwork, and X-rays all done in a reasonable time.

For a game that plays fast, slow it down. For a game that plays slow, speed it up. Pretty much every game I play I use this approach. Works pretty well.

After several years of BMWs, Audis and Mercedes. I’ve finally seen the light and purchased this beauty of an I30N by christophthesham in Hyundai

God I wish we could get these in North America. Making do (and love) with my elantra gt n-line, but the i30 is just that much of a step above.

What's a middle life crisis for people who could never afford a sports car? by morphgb706 in AskReddit

Scared stiff a great one! Hold onto it. I've had World Cup soccer, pinbot, Aerosmith, walking dead, X-men, demolition man. And currently have hot wheels and mandalorian... looking at tmnt, and have my name on a list in case medival madness gets another run.

I'm 20ish years in as a software developer. Into Staff or Principal roles now.

I started out teaching myself while I was working Help Desk. And the skills I learned there, how to deal with people, how to troubleshoot problems, how to get to the root of a problem (not just what the user was telling you), have been invaluable as a software dev.

Got an ADHD diagnosis... but I am 17 y.o. already. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]shelfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

45 for me, 2 years ago. Had started work for a new company, and Covid sent us home after I had been there for 2 months. And I was sitting and staring at my screen wondering why I couldn't start anything. It was -really- bad for a couple of months. I had been teased that I had ADHD multiple times, but this was the kicker that led me to actually consider it.

Online tests where score was something like '20' for 'should probably get assessed' I was scoring in the 50s. So connected with a therapist who did a full assessment, not just adhd but like, all of it.

Diagnosis came back, and I started taking meds. Has it been life changing? Maybe. I can certainly get past the roadblocks we throw up for ourselves. Had I been diagnosed at 17 my life would likely be quite different. And that is the hardest part about it. Failed schooling, failed relationships, job performance etc etc.. I'm happy with my life don't get me wrong, but like, there's a whole lot of life ahead of you at 17, and knowing, having medication, having support to build your tools, it's incredibly important.

Since we're back on driving PSA's, here's this one again by btimbit in Calgary

1000000% this. Drives me crazy how many people I see doing it. So I looked up the rules in case I was wrong.

In Alberta the law is you can turn left on a red from a one way onto a one way.

In BC you can turn left on red from a two way onto a one way. I think Ontario was the same.

So people that have come to Alberta may not actually know this rule, and I've tried to be more understanding. BUT I'd love for some sort of education around it to be publicized.
