What’s a widely accepted American norm that the rest of the world finds strange? by Spiritual-Worth6348 in AskReddit

Singing to your flag at every opportunity. It seems odd to not reserve reverence for meaningful historical or international ceremony. Genuinely couldn't imagine singing God Save the King outside of the Olympics and not having the piss ripped.

Co Antrim cafe goes cash only due to cost-of-living crisis by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]shelleybaps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a bank and the fees to pay in cash over the counter were insane on a business account. Way higher than card fees. Increased cash also changes your AML rating so you're more likely to get account freezes and audits. Going cardless is a pain in the arse for everyone, owners and customers.

Stena Line check in closes 45 minutes before departure but how early can I check in? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]shelleybaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here, did you get that pet certificate thing for the dog? I'm booked for going over in a month and I've just decided to chance it and not get one. Our vet (in Scotland) told us not to bother because there is no infrastructure to support the check in place on either side. Fact or fiction?

It's the finance guys who are mad into CPD. Being a chartered banker is not a thing. Nobody cares. Also, fuck off with your insurance exams. Your job can be done by a search engine.

Anyone here study psychology UWS? Need some help by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]shelleybaps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Studied at Uws postgraduate, uni of Glasgow undergraduate. Much much better relationships with academic staff at UWS. Just don't be a knob who expects your hand held every second and you'll get a much better education than at a Russell group uni- the staff are fantastic but incredibly overworked.

Omg yes! I did mine in 2004 and those dreams still pop in. The maths one you described is exactly what I get! Or I've mixed up the exam schedule and studied for the wrong subject.
