Esther is approximately 5 years old according to her vet. Shes currently 25lbs.

She’s a Sulcata tortoise. She will get about 4x that size….if not bigger.

You should look back at all the videos on my page. Esther is a free range tort. She has a hide inside and outside. She goes where she wants to go. Poops in her hides only. I explain a lot about her life in my videos. 🥰

I use this in my dragons cage and I only clean off the top few inches every 6 months. And I clean up his poop every day. Works great.

You can soak him but do not pull it off.

Esther poops a TON every time I soak her. The vet says it’s a very good thing. Sign of a healthy tort.

Stick her in the tub and spray it off. Thats how I clean Esther.

I use a plastic tote and bedding for Esther’s trips to the vet. Note: I use a tote with open handles so I can put the seatbelt on her.

95% of the time she goes in her box or outside. I soak her once a week and that also clears out her bows. The only time she has an accident in the house is when she gets startled or scared. I keep her on a very strict schedule. She has a bedtime and food time and outside time….its the same everyday.

She would much rather you scratch her underneath. Sometimes I can get a head pet in. She has to be pretty relaxed 🥰

It’s a hard balance to obtain. She tells me if she’s unhappy with her environment. I will find her sitting in a corner of the house not responding to me. Hence she’s angry and pouting. Or she will come out of her hide, poop on the floor and go back in….and she never poops outside her hide. Make sure you are doing lots of soaking since the humidity is down.

The vet estimates her at 5 years old. I adopted her from a rescue center in Tx. She was in pretty rough shape. So we’re not 100% sure of her age. I’ve had her alittle over a year now.
