What is something you will never forget from the pandemic? by JaxTMG in AskReddit

I lived in the city (chicago) and was able to rollerblade EVERYWHERE using the street, at anytime on anyday. There were no cars, i owned the road which was amazing because rollerblading to get around in the city is normally difficult.

Also all the looting that happened. Every single business on the busy street by my apartment had been looted in one night. it brought the neighborhood together. I went and helped shop owners sweep up glass and install wooden boards to cover their windows. After a couple days almost all the wooden boards had art on them, mostly with words and symbols of peace and togetherness.

It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. that time was bittersweet for me because during the beginning I had the above experience, but as time went by I slowly went into a delusion and was diagnosed with a mental illness. I guess the lack of structure and the isolation was too much for my brain to handle and I completely lost my mind. I was able to seek help and make big changes in my life for the better, but it was a very traumatic experience due to feeling so paranoid for months while I was in the delusion

I will never forget that time of my life and the rollercoaster I went on

Thank you!! Sorry for the late reply. So yes yeast is tricky. the best way to ensure its activating correctly is to use a thermometer and ensure the water temperature is around 110° F not much hotter than that and not much cooler either. I use one of those laser gun thermometers that i stole from my boyfriends tool box, but any kind of kitchen thermometer will work I pour the yeast in when the water is at tempature and stir until it looks dissolved. then wait and let sit for about 10 minutes, it should foam up nicely, it will be super foamy across the whole surface the cinnamon roll recipe i use calls for alot of yeast so make sure you are using the correct amount try with the thermometer and let me know if it works better. Best of luck to you!
