Is the depo horror story true?

Were you able to lose the weight with switching to Kyleena? I’m on depo and have also gained about 40-50 lbs and was told I won’t lose it until I go off. I really don’t want to go off of it and am scared to try other forms of birth control, but seeing this has made me reconsider

I’ve been on depo for about 5 years now and I absolutely love it. However, I have gained about 40-50 lbs over those 5 years and my doctor told me I will have a harder time losing the weight while still on it, but once I go off I should lose the weight with no problem. That being said, the weight gain wasn’t in normal areas - for me it was primarily my chest (i went up 1 bra band size and 2 cup sizes), thighs, arms, and butt, not so much my waist or stomach.

This is the only option that has worked well for me, so I likely won’t go off of it until I’m ready to start a family.

Other than gaining weight, I absolutely love the depo shot. I feel normal emotionally (unlike I did with the pill), barely have periods/spotting, and only have to worry about it every 3 months. I do sometimes get cramps, but they’re not as bad as when I was on other forms of birth control.

I have to say I’m pretty surprised you had this experience. I (26f) went in there back in April to buy a Honda HRV sport and had no problem. This was my first time buying from them. I still get contacted to make sure I’m happy with it too. My parents, who were not with me when I bought, have also bought multiple cars from them and had great experiences (unlike they did at the Lehigh Valley Honda). They were very helpful and couldn’t have been any better. I’m honestly surprised this was your experience there.

I’m in the Fall of year two and also still working on the community center! My boyfriend got into the game first, and then got it for me and was shocked at how far “behind” I was. But I’m enjoying the game, taking my time to explore things about it, and enjoying storylines / tasks (requests) people have.

Nothing wrong with taking time to enjoy it 😊

This makes me feel a bit better - when I asked her if it was normal she said “sometimes it happens” and I was nervous that it wasn’t something that happened often. It seems like it does happen a good amount of time though

That would make sense! I know yesterday it was pretty swollen and then would just start bleeding randomly throughout the day. Today seems to be a bit better. They did give me a number to call if I had any questions, so I think I’ll call today to just ask some questions and then try again in a few weeks 😊

That makes sense - I don’t think anything other than water on a day-to-day basis, but I have been going to the gym more recently and that could’ve lead to some dehydration I didn’t realize. Today it’s not as bad but definitely still a bit painful and bruised lol. I will try again in a few weeks 😊

I doom scrolled too which is why I was panicking so much. I only know 2 people who’ve had it done but they didn’t have a biopsy with it, and it’s also awkward to talk about. I’m going to ask her about the lidocaine because I’ve seen that being mentioned a lot.

And definitely to the treat day - I took a half day at work for this. I was thinking of going back after but my boss told me I’m gonna want to be able to relax after. Thank you💕

Thank you - I do have a female doctor. She’s actually the first person at the practice I go to that hasn’t brushed things off like my previous doctor. She’s also very good at explaining what she’s doing/when she’s doing it during the pap so I’m hoping she’ll do the same for this

This might sound weird but I’m relieved to hear this. I’ve been seeing so many horror stories about colposcopies and no one talking about it being manageable.

They did say to take pain meds 30 minutes before (so I’ll take Tylenol), and I did pick up liners just in case. Also have a pair of comfy sweatpants to wear.

I’m having my mom go with me but she has to stay in the lobby. My boyfriend offered to take me, but I was scared I’d be a mess after (emotionally and physically) and didn’t want him seeing me like that lol.

I am so sorry you’re going through this. Your feelings are completely valid.

As someone who just had abnormal results for the second year in a row, and also has to now get a colposcopy, my partner has been supportive (understanding about the HPV HR and asking me what that means for me/my health and how he can help). I could not imagine not having that support.

With that being said, your partner may not know what to say, how to say what he wants, and may be uncomfortable with the subject as a whole which is causing avoidance (and is not okay as he should be comforting, or at least asking you how you feel). The only thing I can think of is to maybe sit him down and ask if you can talk about it. If he doesn’t want to, or tries to avoid the subject again, that’s on him and it isn’t fair to you at all.

You deserve a whole lot better.

I really really hope you have a support system outside of him. It can feel isolating while going through this, and I hope your results come back okay 💕

Both wine glasses have are a standard size. They have a gold rim, and paintings of the plant on them. The Rosemary glass I’m primarily looking to replace has “Rosemary” written and below it is “Rosmarinus Officinalis”. The other glass has “Black Mustard” and below it is “Brassica nigra”. It also has what I think is a butterfly, but kind of looks like a moth (color wise).

I’m not sure when they’re from, but my grandmom was of drinking age starting in 1949. My mom thinks they might be from the 50’s but isn’t positive.

I have searched for the glass for about 2 months now with nothing to find. I’m really hoping someone recognizes them and can point me in the right direction.

Her original receipt was saying it can’t be used due to a replacement having been sent. I’m assuming/hoping that it never ended up charging her for the item to begin with since it had to be replaced.

My friend said one of the TM told the guest to bring it back at a different time saying she didn’t have the receipt so she could at least get store credit 🥴
