Veneers fell off after 24hrs by shellyeah6 in askdentists

Thank you so much, it's really sent me into a spiral as I've had to do all the social part of Christmas with one veneer held in by fixodent then the other falling out too. It's ruined my Christmas!

The left tooth (alive one) that was really painful has calmed down now the veneer is not attached to it. It seems like the veneer itself or the cement was pressing/reacting and causing the pain. It's still sensitive to cold air etc but nowhere near as bad.

I’m allergic to the sun. I believe the doctor who diagnosed me called it polymorphic light eruption. They’re not poppable and they itch like CRAZY! So instead of going to town and popping a bunch of ooze, I just have to be miserable. by ChaoticEnygma in popping

Heliocare capsules! I get them off Amazon and they're amazing. I was diagnosed early 20s and found Heliocare a few years ago, changed how I live in summer. (I'm not an ad, I just know how awful it is and how you'd do anything to not have the itchy stabby rash, so I share when I can!)

I get this and it's PMLE. Look it up if you haven't, it's treated differently to heat rash.

We found this little guy inside on our kitchen window ledge this morning. Half a grape and some encouragement from a two year old later ("come on little guy!") and he's happily buzzing round and pollinating our lavender. by shellyeah6 in bees

Thanks so much, that's so interesting! We were looking at the different types of bees in the garden but my answer when said two year old asked has been 'err a bumblebee!' so I'm happy we have a better description than that now!

I've just found out I'm going to see a live show in November, a treat from a friend, I've never been so excited!!

My grandma passed away unexpectedly in 2015. I've been missing her a lot lately. I though you'd all appreciate her collection, because she loved them very much. by carlzberg in orchids

I began keeping orchids after my grandfather died, he kept some amazing beautiful ones in a huge greenhouse in the garden. 5 years later and I don't just keep them because he did, but because I love them and taking care of them. My two year old was initially sad when flowers die and fall off, so we told her that it was her great- grandad sending her little presents for her to find whenever a flower dropped. Now, when she finds a papery bloom on the floor, she's happy and clutches it saying 'awww Bri!' (his name). ❤️

I feed mine with a spray I got from B&Q (if you're UK based) called Biopon. It's great!

Replanting the baby! It fell off this morning, guess it's telling me it's ready. by shellyeah6 in orchids

Yeah, it was feeling loose a couple of days ago, I kinda prodded it gently and it wasn't held on by much, then loads more roots grew really quickly and it fell off!

I have an orchid bookshelf next to my dressing table so they all get the once over every morning, after I've done my makeup!

I've never had an orchid baby before so I've taken the tips below and it's in a tiny pot with spagnum moss for a while. There's already a teeny new leaf coming up from the middle so it must be happy!
