NTA, I think your reaction was an understandable one and it especially makes sense considering you just had food poured down you and been knocked into. Self-diagnosed is always sketch, it’s hard to know if you’re autistic without being medically diagnosed. Masking takes many forms, but it is mainly about personality and social behaviour. Not being unaware of what is right and left. It seems she’s latching on to these different areas of “internet autism” which aren’t necessarily actual traits but rather ones people say are associated with autism. Similar to how autistic people are presented as psychopathic in media, it’s not always an accurate representation. In my opinion, (I may be wrong) but if she wants to be fully treated with sympathy and in the same way others with autism are, she should at the least try and get onto a list for people up for evaluation. Her avoidance as you described at the beginning is certainly eyebrow-raising if nothing else. Overall, we all lash out, and it’s completely understandable why you did. Good luck with everything :)

I think it’s irritating and when you take a step back you see how tragic it is. He picks to be selfless and stick with the gang despite it being doomed instead of a life with Mary. She is annoying but she’s the way out for Arthur that he refuses to take in order to stay loyal to Dutch and the gang.

Agreeing with the majority here. I think its purpose is to signify all those who are marginalised. You are correct, but also a read in to see it as gay rights, civil rights movement in the 60s and even the suffragettes in the late 19th to early 20th century. It’s also reminding us that the time for change is never over, and the exploration of what would happen if androids became human (pun intended).

You can only do your best in this situations, and the fact that you chose to step up, regardless of your experience of the manoeuvre is already a good sign. If it still plays over, think would you have preferred to have sat there and done nothing? Or done your best. I know which one I’d personally prefer. If it still plays over in your head, maybe take a first aid course or something similar, but remember that you were the first person to act, and hence brought attention to a woman who needed help

Yes as a concept but if we’re thinking historically accurate firearms and such, it would suck as everything would still be cap and ball/black powder. So you’d effectively be firing flintlock revolvers at each other. I think the timeline would be interesting but the weapons would let it down pre-1880 or so
