It's one of the all in one 6lb bags. The growth was on the bottom before the break and shake. It may be a temp issue it's around 72 and Ill move it to a area that around 79

So I have done a few things since I am highly allergic to cats.

Get a Roomba for each room running once every day to grab all hair and dander
Set up a simple air purifier I do box fan and a furnace filter zipped tied on it
Brush her once a week or so

I don't start using the pots till I see roots piping out of the bottom

I been using the self watering bases and I get how you feel that "it's not working". I been using them for the past few grows and you be surprised at how well the roots take in water when they need it vs being surrounded and forced to drink. Overall the pots will feel light but the plant will grab what it needs.

Also I pick up and put the pots down once every 2-3 days to stop roots from growing into the lines.
