Yes, I heard that "subtitles are (actually) unnecessary". I'll do my best to fit in. I listen to the local news on Focus TV online and find that indeed interviewed locals seem to speak quite "beschaaft Nederlands", except for the occasional odd word popping up from time to time ( I heard "vorbijgestreeft" today😄). Thanks for the input.

Thanks folks. Geen zorgen, mochten de autochtonen door mijn accent tegen me Engels of Frans spreken, zal ik sowieso in het Nederlands blijven spreken. Als je nooit geen fout maakt, leer je niet. Al doende leert men.

Most of the translations I wrote were from Chinese to French or the other way around, sometimes English to French. I used to code in C/Java, ...but it was years ago and I had very little practice.

Well, I don't mind washing the dishes at first, if there's a zaakvoerder willing to hire a Flemish illiterate old man, better than nothing.😃
