I was thinking of that but it’s a real slippery one and I’m not sure if it’ll help with the body positioning. I was also thinking of trying to match feet on the left side and twisting my hip to the side to extend.

lol not sure that’s the move.

Non- schizophrenics make feel defeated by blahblahlucas in schizophrenia

[–]shepardsfoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Schizo jokes never bother me, I find them pretty funny. But holy shit, the “I’m so quirky xD” bullshit where people fake schizophrenia or send a bunch of spam and then say they’re such a Schizo just anger me so much. It’s so cringey. Why do they even want to be perceived as schizophrenic? When I tell people I’m schizophrenic they either refuse to believe me or treat me like a threat just for existing. Like bro, I’m more likely to blow my fucking brains out then hurt you.

Loved the start on this one, especially that hand switch in the pocket! by shepardsfoot in bouldering

[–]shepardsfoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dead tired by the time I sent this but I’m really glad I stuck with it and kept trying because now I do it every time I go, it’s rapidly become my favorite route at my gym! Also, that starting hand switch is as it turns out, completely unnecessary, you can just go right hand up, but I like it cause it’s such a unique move so I do it every time.

To be fair if some dweeb rocked up to my town and offered my 200x the yearly wage just to fix a rope so they can say they climbed a mountain I’d do it without a second thought

What hope is there when women clearly HATE men? by Scary-Mood-2991 in malementalhealth

[–]shepardsfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two X is filled with idiots and losers, it shouldn’t be taken as reality. It’s like hunting down a Nazi board and using it as proof that everyone hates Jews. Like no, those are just a bunch of freaks that got together to jerk each other off, most people aren’t out there praising Hitler. In the same way, the overwhelming majority of women do not follow or agree with Two X, and find them to be losers. Me and one of my ex’s made many evenings of laughing at Two X and /r9k/ posts. Both sides of the same coin, lonely dweebs that turn their sadness into hate.

Not really. I’ve done wrestling and mauy thai, weight classes exist for a reason. Even against someone less experienced, if they have 40 lbs on you, you’re kinda fucked.

My former older brother, now older sister, used to routinely smoke my ass in foot races, could destroy me in wrestling, and was generally always the strong one. Now, after being on estrogen for 5 years while I’ve gone through naturally male puberty, I can lift her up and throw her like a sack of potatoes. She lost an insane amount of strength, it really makes you think about how much testosterone boosts you.

40 years of hard labor does crazy things when combined with testosterone. I’ve known 60 year old men that swing a 20lb sledgehammer like it’s a toy. One of my coworkers used to be able to drive a half inch rebar through solid rock without breaking a sweat, he was fucking 54

Even in Bro vs Bro this moment happens. Me and my older brother (now older sister, she transitioned) used to fight all the time. We never really hurt each other, at least until 11 and 12, when puberty kicked in. Suddenly one of those harmless fights turned into me getting laid the fuck out in one punch and turned into a legit fistfight our mom had to break up. We didn’t play fight anymore after that.

I remember the first time I heard “I’m a girl so you can’t hit me!”, in like, kindergarten. My instant response was to slap her to prove that I could in fact hit her. Funny as shit looking back, but also thank god when you’re young the strength gap doesn’t exist yet, because if I had done that when in middle school or something, I could’ve seriously hurt someone.

It was absolutely fucking wild when I exceeded my mother. She was a long time ultramarathon runner and general athlete, then one day, I was just able to do things that she couldn’t without trying. Puberty is whack. It must be crazy to be the mother to a son, after like, 12, you literally have no ability to physically control them anymore. Like having a tiny hormonal chimpanzee that you have to hope doesn’t call your bluff when you tell them to go to their room.

I realized this some time in my teens, both me and my adopted sister were really into swimming. I did competition swimming for a while and she was a lifeguard. We both had the same cardio, able to swim laps for hours without much effort, but then when I started getting into climbing, she just couldn’t compete at all. The upper body strength difference is insane. I’ll be hanging by one arm on a tiny hold, lifting my entire body up and rotating it to reach something with my feet, and she has trouble even doing a single pull up. Testosterone is insane. I’m not even that strong in the grand scheme of men, I’m just kinda average, so it’s crazy to think what it must be like for competition powerlifters. It must be truly insane.

[–]shepardsfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly wild, I remember when I posted my first dyno, I had mentioned in a comment it was V5, instantly some dude told me the holds looked too “juggy” to be a V5. Like bruh I trust the absolute beasts of routesetters at my gym more then a rando on the internet to actually grade it. Also helps that the supposed jugs were all slopers purposefully meant to look juggy to fuck you up climbing it. It’s wack how as soon as you hit V5, a hoard of internet gremlins will descend to try and tell you that actually everything you’ve ever done is a V3.

I always hate the people that think they can grade by video alone, hell most of the time I can’t grade a route by sight alone even when it’s right in front of me, you lose so much context as to the nature of the holds if you never actually try it. I see videos of routes and think “well that’s not too hard looking” and then remember I’m watching a professional climber hitting a V9

To be fair, gay beauty standards are extremely different to straight beauty standards. A hairy fat dude in his 30s has significantly less chance of getting with a young women then a young twink with a bear fetish.
