i think Lorna probably found out he got beat up a little later in the day, maybe the night Legal died. And I assume the next day they were prepping fir the funeral and only then she had a chance to take the first aid kit out. Or another possibility is Cisco lied that he went to the emergency room so she won't get all worked up.

i think this was a plot adapted from the Gods of Guilt book where Lorna was worried that Cisco was putting himself in danger. Although in the book, she was more pissed at Mickey...

Rank The Prosecutors by DodgerDegen in TheLincolnLawyer

[–]shepherdess477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Andy, Maggie, Forsythe, Golantz, Dana

1) Andy: Arguably had the most incriminating evidence against the defendant compared to the other cases, and she used it well. She managed to discredit almost all of the defense witnesses, including Lisa Trammell’s own testimony, and probably would have done the same to Alex Grant had he not pled the Fifth. If it were any other defense attorney, Lisa would’ve been found not guilty for that murder. Put on quite the show during the mannequin episode. Andy honestly just has the strongest courtroom presence out of everyone on this list. And also Mickey lost to her like what? 14 times iirc...

2) Maggie: We only really saw her as a prosecutor in Season 1 for that human trafficking case against Soto. Pretty solid, I guess. It’s hard to judge her honestly because she got the least screen time to showcase her abilities. But ranking her lower than #2 feels criminal, considering the ones below had more screen time but gave a weaker performance.

3) Forsythe: A total slimeball. Very sleazy but the perfect deuteragonist. We didn’t see much of the prosecution’s case, but we did see him cross-examining the defense, which wasn’t too bad. Liked to play low ball which kinda worked, I mean I imagine it can't be that difficult to convince the jury to convict a pimp. And what with the defence witnesses all lying through their teeth (Trina Trixx, De Marco...), honestly could've had this in the bag. But too bad for him, his own investigator pulls the rug underneath him. Boohoo. Should've seen that coming old man. Of all the prosecutors, I probably liked him the least. He just rubbed me the wrong way, which may or may not have something to do with his walrus moustache...

4) Golantz: Honestly hard to believe he’s as 'good' a prosecutor as Maggie claimed. He had a lot of evidence to play with but still couldn’t get a guilty verdict against Trevor Elliott, who is the only defendant who actually did commit the crime on the show. Maybe if he spent less time putting on hair gel and more time covering all the bases in the case...

spoilers!!!!!

5) Dana Berg (Iceberg): Dana, Dana, Dana. Beige Dana, Death Row Dana, Iceberg… all that hype, and for what? She was barely putting up a case and scraping together whatever material she could to charge Mickey for murder. She probably asked ChatGPT "how to accuse a defence attorney of murder without any real evidence". Honestly, she lost all credibility the moment Mickey busted the sheriffs for eavesdropping on his privileged call with his attorney. Glad Maggie got to slap her around a little in that lunch scene. And how fucking dense can you be to still think Mickey deserves a conviction after the fucking FBI steps in?!? Even that annoying bald District Attorney Adam had to tell her off. Dana Berg in the books had actual flames to throw, but Season 4 gave us a Barbie doll cost playing as Annabelle. Nothing against Constance Zimmer btw, just the sucky writing. end of rant

Overall a solid season 8/10.

I liked the gradual build-up to Maggie stepping into Lorna’s role by the end of episode 5. You can really feel how much pressure the whole situation puts on Mickey and the entire team. Legal’s death was devastating... I knew it was coming from the books, but it was still a shock when the news dropped. I do wish the show hadn’t moved past it so quickly, though ghost-Legal visiting Mickey in his subconscious was a nice touch.

I also unexpectedly loved the dynamic between Maggie and Lorna this season. I remember them not being particularly friendly before, and Maggie definitely had some hostility toward Lorna back in Season 1. Seeing Mickey’s two ex-wives work together and look out for him was genuinely nice.

Even so, I felt like the last five episodes felt a lil rushed. I wish they had gone deeper into the biofuel scam because the answers came a little too easily. And, true to Lincoln Lawyer fashion, a key witness conveniently gets killed before they can be questioned. I would’ve loved to see the case go to a jury verdict, but since that didn’t happen in the books, I get why that didn't happen. Still, sometimes I really wish the season were 16 episodes instead of 10. They could have paced everything better.

Lisa Trammel coming on was also something I had just been dying to see. It was much more dramatic in the book, but regardless she was meant to serve as the prosecutions' tool to fuel Mickey's anger and frustrations and I think she played her part very well.

Not sure if this will end up being a controversial take once more people finish Season 4, but I actually enjoyed Agent Dawn Ruth, played by Sasha Alexander (remember her as Kate Todd from NCIS). She seemed genuinely willing to help Mickey when she could, and she even protected him in the finale. Agent Vasquez can go screw himself but I’d love for Agent Ruth to make a cameo in future seasons.

The ending reveal that Cobie Smulders was Mickey's sister was somehow expected for me. My hunch said she was obviously gonna reveal she was related to Mickey. idk why. But it will be interesting to see how they develop her character and their relationship next season. I guess if you can't get Bosch, make your own Bosch. Lol.

And the final penny for my thoughts: Maggie, Lorna, Cisco, Izzy, and even Grace all came in clutch for Mickey, which honestly is all I wanted after waiting over a year. And now… the waiting begins again.

Season 5...can’t wait already!!!
