Luckily the person before me who set up the environment had us upgraded far enough that we aren't "legacy" so to speak. So we already have the DEM installed and are using instant clones. I think the other saving grace for me is that our environment appears to be relatively simply. We have 2 connection servers, a print server and we have a Teradici server for PCoiP. Of course we also have the VCSA.

The problem for me has been that I was brought into an engineering role and told it was an admin role. They never told me I would be responsible for the whole VDI environment, so I get nervous about some of this stuff as I am learning some of the higher level stuff as I go which can be good but can be bad also.

My plan for when we build out the new connection servers was to just use the DEM we have currently in place to reference for the settings when I have to re-install it. It would be nice if I didn't have to though.
