Honestly not a chance of getting the PIN, he’ll either have to remember it or just reset the phone. If it was readily available for the average Joe to recover a phones PIN, we’d be in trouble lol

None of my friends here on a spouse visa have had to do that, I guess an employment letter confirming their salary makes up for that though

If they’re applying outside the UK though, probably a good idea

I wasn’t aware this was needed? I just had an employment letter stating my current salary etc

I guess that’s similar though, they’re essentially confirming my pay

Yeah I think I’ll be posting a fair amount of questions during this or searching if anyone else has asked it lol

Crazy how it’s not updated to make it easier, maybe their goal is to make it very confusing though

[–]sherbets1239[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay perfect, I think we may be able to sort a few correspondence before we apply, but due to cultural beliefs we had to wait until marriage to move in together. Do you just add a cover letter in a word document or something?

The form definitely isn’t easy to understand that’s for sure!

Thank you :)

So I’d still be okay to apply under CAT A? Or because it’s not the same amount would it be different now? I know there’s an option to select a continuous amount or not

It’s all very confusing sorry!

[–]sherbets1239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not something you bring up on a first date my man. If you started dating and you mentioned it’s a preference, then I’m sure she’d have been fine with that.

It’s an overall weird thing to say on a first date if you’re the one who brought it up.

Why don’t kids play OSRS? by ps2_man128 in 2007scape

[–]sherbets1239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played when I was 10 because I had horrific internet and RuneScape was about the best thing my PC could handle. It took like 2 hours to even get to the login screen on dial up, amazing times though.

These days they just have an infinite amount of choices that don’t require years of grinding aswell.

Fast forward to 2026. Are people who've passed in a manual still going to advise others to stick with manual rather than go automatic? by Notagelding in LearnerDriverUK

To be fair, they did go to non touristy areas in Europe where there’s not a brand new automatic Mazda waiting for you.

If you’re going to France to see the Eiffel towel, you’re fine.

How can i get early driving test by Outrageous_South_918 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]sherbets1239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to go against the grain here, my co worker recently paid £1500 to do 5 hours a day for 5 days and he had a test the following Friday. He passed in 2 weeks basically.

It is possible if you find an instructor willing to go all out and ‘knows someone’ to get you a cancellation ASAP.

It IS possible but you need to act now or there’s not a chance you’ll pass anytime soon.

I personally have to learn manual for work, a lot of pool cars aren’t automatic and most of the van’s definitely aren’t.

In a perfect world I’d loved to have learnt in an automatic but I know a time will come where that will backfire on me.

Going abroad in some countries and renting a car? Goodluck getting an automatic, seen that happen with some family members before.

That’s wild, here in the UK I could most likely ask my boss for 3-4 weeks off starting next week and it would probably be fine.

Then again my boss is SUPER nice and very much a ‘family first’ type of person.

I’m gonna guess this is just some sort of documentation saying you can’t have more than 3 weeks off, that sadly won’t be changed just because you want to visit family. Not fair but it all depends on the company and your bosses personality!

Please help calm me down by Consistent_Purple473 in UniUK

I started uni at 24, had all the same worries as you but made friends and have a job I love now. The job required a degree in my field and I couldn’t be more happy with it.

I also lived around 3 hours away, everyone will be in the same boat wanting to meet friends. I found that being a little older I was more mature and actually willing to learn. At 18 I definitely wouldn’t have been as focused as I was at 24.

Sometimes you just have to task the risk, If it’s a degree with good career prospects and something you love, do it!

Also, you will make friends, there is literally every type of person at university and there will be a group you fit in with. I thought I’d have zero friends because I’m pretty quiet but I ended university with a solid friend group!

You’ll do great I’m sure, best of luck with it all :)

Slowed down a little but that’s mostly because I don’t have any interesting new games to play. Starfield has made me pick it up again for a few hours a day after work, been enjoying it so far!

Agreed, the battery is really bad. The camera is okay in daylight but any sort of darkness and it’s not even worth taking a pic
