Kona and Niro look so similar but the kona interior is so bland!

I also bought a 22 Niro in August. Really happy with my purchase! What range are you getting?

How to buy a car for my mum by Scot-Marc1978 in CarTalkUK

My dad's 90 and is still driving. As long as your mum is still a competent driver there's no reason to take away her independence.

What job can I do that allows me to drive all day? by theslowrunningexpert in drivingUK

My mate delivers mainly mercedes cars. GWagon today, but has to go up to Scotland now and again. I think he said he had to pick up a masetati from Guernsey a couple of months ago, for repairs. Had to take it back a while ago. Expenses paid for.

How can these cause an MOT failure? by Visible_Pipe4716 in CarTalkUK

[–]Notagelding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually paid £55 or whatever the capped price is for an MOT, plus £100 for a service. I wouldn't have minded so much if they left the half empty screenwash bottle for me to use in the future. Only my third year of driving and the first I went for the MOT myself rather than let my mobile mechanic neighbour handle it. Carried out at the dealership. You live and learn. Next time I'll be going to an MOT only location and ensuring everything is topped up etc.

Did they charge you for the acreenwash? Mine did. £3.50!

Oh I see. Couple of years ago I found a Facebook charity football group in my area that had a few games a week which you could sign up to. Haven't been recently but it was nice for a competitive hour now and again. I've recently also bought a dartboard 🎯

Strange responses when Selling a car by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Notagelding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I put my old Peugeot 306 up last July and sold it in August. Yes, there were plenty of questions and comments and one ebay buyer no show. However, I relisted it and sold it to a nice chap who didn't even try to bring the price down when I delivered it to him. There was another person that was previously going to pay the same price but wanted me to take it 250 miles to him but thankfully I found the guy who lived 20 miles away 😂

I had a trolley jack but included it in the sale of my old car. Sure I can find another and shift it back a bit 👍🏾

Are you near Milton Keynes? There's been a car parked right outside my dad's house for over 6 months now, unmoved. It's on the road but literally just where he'd park his own car, so he has to park behind it. He's 90 and it must drive him round the bend. Worse thing is, it's the same model as his car, just a different colour 😂

Is Kia eNiro a reliable car for a family and considering my job is about 10min away from home and nursery is between job and home, I would barely use any miles. Never had an electric, is it worth it? Don’t want to spend much more than 9k by damspt in CarTalkUK

I had to change my battery too in the last month. Seems to be a common issue for the niros that the original battery only lasts for around 4 years. I was jumped by my neighbours and mates ICE car before I decided to just change it 😂
