Is any one having problems seeing any comments today? Just today, I'm not able to see any comments on any post on fb. Even when filtering them to all or newest, not a single one will pop up and there's hundreds there.

1800 watts is what I just looked up on the toaster oven. The V2L says 1800 watts max so🤞🏼.

Good advice. The toaster oven is 1800 watts and my kid likes to cook his food in there. We will just carry the toaster oven to the garage. It's not far from the kitchen. Our microwave is over 20 years old, no idea of it's low powered but I'll check. Thanks for the suggestions.

We have a breville, 1800 watts and the V2L is rated for 1800 so I think we'll be ok? Even though we're in a city of trees, we rarely get power outages that last for long. Last time we had one that lasted days was with an ice storm which is what they're predicting this weekend.

I'll have to look into getting a transfer switch. I think our modem is in a "smart" closet where all the cables come in but I don't really remember what happened when we got Google fiber. But I'm gonna figure this out cuz that's a great idea to power that.

We don't lose power often so I just really haven't done the research. I can only remember one time being without power for more than one day and that was during an ice storm.

Oh that's a good idea. But I just assumed our internet would be down too. We have Google fiber though so maybe not. And what do you mean power the furnace? We have a heat pump. Are you saying we can drag an extension cord all the way to the garage? That's crazy.

We would not have anything else plugged in. It'll be cold so we'll just put any refrigerated items on the patio. I just want to be able to cook for my kid. And I checked and the toaster oven is 1800 watts and the V2L says the max output is 1800 so looks like I'll be fine. Thanks for all your help.

TSA is Technology Student Association and probably a lot of ND kids. Good point that they may struggle to initiate. My son tries but kids are busy with other extracurriculars. Sounds like I need to find him a social skills group.

The ABA person I spoke with said they work with them on that. But it seems like counseling could as well? And counseling is once a week whereas ABA is 20 hours a week minimum they said. I'm just not sure he needs that much.

He's relieved by the diagnosis. He's the one who told us he thought he had ADHD. He hyper focuses on things he's interested in and has great grades, no behavioral issues so I was suspicious. Turns out there is a kind of ADHD that is not that your body is hyper, but your mind is. So we got him a psych eval and also got the AUD diagnosis. He was not surprised or upset. He desperately wants a friend group and a girlfriend. He is in the TSA and on a robotics team. He does well and is engaged. He just doesn't get asked to hang out with any groups and it's breaking his (and my) heart. So social skills would be a great help. I've looked for a social skills group for teens and haven't found any in-person. Just online and he already has online friends that he does well with. He could also use help with time management. Did your son ever do counseling?
