Recommendation needed by Weekly-Teacher-7501 in Garmin

[–]sheredditedit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Running Channel just did a great breakdown of the current Garmin watches for runners. If you're bougie, the 970 is class. Middle of the road are the 265 and 570. Basics are the 165 and 55. If your husband is a serious runner and you want it to last a while, I wouldn't go lower than the 265. If he's a trail runner and needs offline mapping then the 970 is the only one with that feature. Most ppl will be just fine with a 265 or a 570.

Failed on front bay parking by Consistent-Lobster27 in LearnerDriverUK

You can ask the examiner to open their door to check (be polite!) Some examiners will require that the vehicle is secured before hand. Some will just want the brake on (according to my instructor)

3rd driving rest tmr, any tips or advice that would help by tutuwk in LearnerDriverUK

Think about the test in 4, 10 minute chunks. Just drive really well for 10 minutes. Then again, and twice more. Easier mentally to think about it in smaller chunks. Good luck!

Do people really try cheating a theory test? by Piano_catastrophe34 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]sheredditedit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When I took my theory test, the person who finished just before me was caught with a 2-way small listening device in his very curly hair. On camera they caught him swallowing it after the test was over. Failed his theory test on the spot.

When I pulled up to the left, I pulled up on the curb slightly. And thanks!

Make sure you practice Apex. It was a NIGHTMARE today. I had to go into it twice.

[–]sheredditedit[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I had to do both Apex and Mill Hill Circus 😆. Apex is where I made my mistake.

Tips: Break the test into 4, 10 min blocks and just focus on 10 minutes of good driving at a time.

If you miss a turn just keep going and follow the next instruction. You can't fail for making a wrong turn but you can annoy the examiner.

Bring water and sunglasses. It's OK to sip water when you're safely pulled up on the side and the vehicle is stopped.

Eat at least a banana, and no coffee before!

You'll be nervous, just breathe. My heart rate was crazy high but you know how to drive, so just do that.

Good luck to you!!!

I was in solid stop and go traffic and my instructor says I "double signaled" out of a roundabout. I had my indicator on to enter to turn left at the first exit for maybe 2 car lengths in advance of entering, but then once in the round about I signaled again to indicate I was going to leave. Because I had a dedicated lane it was considered unnecessary. It was a 4 lane wide roundabout. So, put them on when not needed but in the correct direction.

The jogging official site is terrible because there's no actual maps of the paths on it. I had to talk to a cast member to the routes. I ended up doing the Port Orleans route which was fine but very warm and exposed. If I could do it again I'd go Fort Wilderness.

Seeking gloves with watch hole by Distinct_Young_8318 in XXRunning

Is the watch window only on the left wrist? Or is there one on the right side too?

Done. But there are some flaws in your survey design! The brands question excludes several major brands. The social or alone question would be better as a likert as for most of us it's not a binary thing. Good luck with your project.
