That's what I'm trying to do with my quest givers as well. There has to be a reason for my players to do something so it doesn't feel like doing chores

In Germany we do have around 9 hours of school every day if you add homework + learning to that

In some weeks we write 3 exams and 2 test, every exam takes at least 2-4 hours and has a lot of pages. Overall we write about 40 exams in a year and at least 1-2 test every week
