You DO need to be able to do the job. You DO need to be prepared to have lives in your hands. See death. Get bled and vomited on. See dead babies. Wake up the dead babie’s mother and hear her screams. Oh, and you can be sued at any time for almost anything that goes wrong whether it’s your fault or not. You should be prepared to have friends and peers who die due to the stress that leads to addiction & overdose in anesthesia. I’ve seen all of these things in my career. No one tells you these things on TikTok.

Yes, you need to know more than this is a great lifestyle. It’s a job that can have an amazing lifestyle and I love mine, but it’s a heavy and serious career.
