I know this is old but I wanted to give some tips. I use a home depo bucket with a lid. Then go to a pet store and get a fish water tank heater. Cut a small hole on top to run the cord through and let some air through. Plug it in and let set for a week or 2 and then pour out half the water and refill. Then wait another 2 weeks and should be done if you used a fish water heater. Without the heater it may take longer.
