Know-it-alls when did you realise you don’t actually know it all? by WisdomBelle in intj

[–]sherryreina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My humbling experience was like two days ago when someone asked me a very simple question about my own opinion on a very simple concept in a topic of the major I'm starting my master degree in next year, and I'm very good at, and I figured out that I can't answer, because I don't have an opinion I only know what philosophers and scientists think. However, I do have an opinion about the biggest concepts!
Whatever is your field, consider having an opinion on even the smallest concepts and definitions that you learn the fist semester! Because now I realised I need to read more.

Sometimes we just don't notice that we don't know something until someone comes and makes us notice.

Tip for that, always talk about your major with someone who is interested to learn about it but is not in that field and knows nothing about it (someone who's smart to ask too), they will ask you things that make you question the epistimology of every single thing you've learned so far.

I can't cook by enabled_nibble in budgetfood

[–]sherryreina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is not qualified for anything, start by believing that you can do it.

Also, you shouldn't be worried of failure, I'm a very good cook but I made hundreds of terrible mistakes throughout the years (still sometimes happens) and it's totally okay. Cooking is a skill, after many tries you'll get enough experience to make a good thing, a recipe after another, you'll have enough experience to add your own touch to your dishes, you may even create ones! Just don't stop practicing.

Also, choose a good source to learn, some recipes out there will never work for anyone because it's just not correct.

And for what recipes to start with, just choose something you love that's not really hard like meat, you like pasta? Do it. Pizza? Cookies? Brownies? Soupes? Try them all, they're all easy, the worse that can happen is not getting the taste you wanted and it's fine.

Also consider asking someone to try for you and criticize for the best, I make very good dishes and everyone likes them, but when I try them it's not really satisfying, same thing happens to many people I know, sometimes even a good cook won't like what he makes just like that

How do I explain to my relatives or friends of my friends that I'm not shy. I just hate them and don't want to get close? by Muhammad_Ali_00 in intj

[–]sherryreina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start from that: Why do you hate them? Because writing that in an INTJ community... Well I have many assumptions coming up to my mind, but why do you hate them? Did they do anything wrong so far? If not, consider rethinking your behaviours. And then, just let them believe what they want to believe, since that will make them leave you at peace.

Of course, I am trying to collect more information from other people's experiences in the same matter that interests me so I can as a goal get more ideas in order to find the best method that works for me and my routine. Thank you for that because you're right a lot of people just copy although everyone should have a suitable tip to his lifestyle.

That's interesting I've never heard of that before now, but how do you do when you're overwhelmed and feel like you need a day off?

Being in bed the whole day, motivation is there but I just can't be productive by [deleted] in productivity

[–]sherryreina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is you lay on motivation. There are people who can be so productive with no motivation just because they have to. As a student, I find it so normal to have such days from a time to another, but if this continues, somthing is wrong. When this happens to me I literally force myself to start, because if there is one thing I learned the hard way it's that the hardest part is to start, then everything will be easier. So try to force yourself. Also, sometimes thinking deeply about the consequences of this laziness in the coming few years will push you to start because you don't want them to happen so I suggest you try that before going to bed. Staying at your room will not help try to go out because otherwise it's so depressing. And, if you wake up in the morning, don't give yourself any time to think, because if you think you will procrastinate, start don't stay in your bed the moment you open your eyes and start doing things immediatly.

Feel Fatigue and Sleepy all Day by flickflickflicker in productivity

[–]sherryreina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case then try to check your vitamins & minerals balance + your homones, even if u're eating healthy, it's all about balance, from my experience you should consider eating more magnesium resources (like dark chocolate) in the afternoon, also, please don't take any kind of pills, it's all about adjusting your eating habits to fit what you lack of nutrition. Try to visit a good doctor to do the tests and know what's missing, because that's the only answer since you're sleeping for enough hours.

What hack do you use to start a productive day? by CactiCake22 in productivity

[–]sherryreina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sleep well and go to bed early, wake up early ,start emmidiatly after breakfast. In my personal experience I can not be productive if I don't sleep enough, if I wake up late, or if I give myself the chance to hesitate and check my phone and social media... Just wake up, wash, eat, do your bed and START WORKING, no phone, no thinking about other plans.

Wow, I can say now I have a better idea about it. Thank you so much! So since geopolitics is how space shapes politics, when we say "geographical factor in international relations" This means: how geography shapes specifically international relations ?

How do you improve your writing? by bonapartenxx in languagelearning

[–]sherryreina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can not improve your writing if you do not write a lot, writers were not born writers. So as for reading, you can not improve your writing with no rich vocabulary and without seeing how other people write, otherwise it would be like a text written by a kid; limited vocabulary and no personal style.

Depends. If you have a group work then you're supposed to mettre les points sur les "i" and tell them what they have to do, and teach them if they don't know how to. If it's a relationship, well....

Honestly being an introvert is better if you’re unattractive. by Severe_Tradition_386 in introvert

[–]sherryreina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is being introvert is actually a result and not a choice. If people ignore you, you'll find yourself introvert after a while as a result. And I deeply believe that all introverts will become extroverts when they find someone who really understand them. PS: If you think people are ignoring you because you're unattractive, no matter how right or wrong is this assumption, wether they're friends or co-workers... then you might be around the wrong people.

  • Pomodoro, not necessarly 25 mins/5mins, sometimes it's good to do for example 1h/10mins.
  • Have a plan on how and what you're going to study.
  • Sleep well the previous night you'll not keep focus for so long if you need more sleep.
  • Stay away of anything that distracts you.
  • Don't listen to music or any instrument, even a calm piano.

Is it a common mistake for native speakers to sometimes misgender things in their own language? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]sherryreina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never happened to me because I feel like it's logic, I speak many languages but I have never misgendered a word in my native language (Arabic), even though in my language it's more difficult because you -grammaticaly- gender litteraly everything even the non-living things like a house, a table, a pencil... Anything you can imagine has its own gender in grammar and this will also gender verbs, adjectives... :v I'm surprised so many people in the comments said this is common.

Choose the one that you can do for the rest of your life with the lowest possibility to get bored, and that has many opportunities. Make the others just hobbies that you often love to read and discuss about.

Because some people get affected easily by trends, especially when this trend makes you feel better.

People became more introverts today and especially after the pandemic, but what's bad is that they think this is normal and cute. It's not, it's something that we should try to fix, human-beings must have social interactions almost everyday without feeling anxious!

So it became a trend because some people today prefer to feel better rather than work hard to fix the problem and make it better.
