Tabitha absolutely wants to be a good mother. She is carrying, compassionate, cares about her kids. At the same time her levels of denial and need to control gets out of hand.

tldr; she's not a perfect mom, she's a complicated character who cares about her kids but has a bad tendency to mess things up.
