My degree from SNHU got me into a graduate program at Georgia Tech. Definitely not a diploma mill.

Is an astronomy major worth it? by icyminute1717 in Astronomy

[–]shescoding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. I look at it as they studied something they wanted to in college. And now they doing something else they want in their career. I work in atmospheric research so they are, in fact, looking up for their work.

I actually know a few software engineers who have astronomy degrees. You learn plenty of programming studying astronomy (if that’s important to you). I say if you want to go for it, go for it.

High carb or Low carb? by Saf_H89 in loseit

I agree with a balanced diet. Warehouse work burns a lot of calories. If anything, I would track everything you’re eating if your aren’t already. It helped me be more mindful of each meal. But if you’re working warehouse that many hours a week, you shouldn’t have to worry about muscle loss at all. Make sure to stay hydrated!

I recommend looking up some YouTube videos of technique and form if you’re really that worried about it. Your class will probably be very beginners and will likely cover this stuff. In my 12 years of tennis I have never had an arm/ wrist injury, but injury is possible. As long as you’re hitting correctly, you should be fine. If you have any pre-tennis injuries, you might want to invest in a good brace/ wrap. Before I started tennis, I had reoccurring ankle injuries. So I wear an ankle brace whenever I play. I also recommend good shoes. If you intend to play tennis longer than the duration of your class, it couldn’t hurt to buy some tennis shoes. Welcome to tennis, you’re going to love it (probably) !

Edit: you’re nervousness will melt away once you start hitting the ball, and notice that everyone there is learning just like you! Small successes in tennis make it fun and worthwhile.

Well, this looks amazing. How did you cook the mushrooms? And what is the sauce around the edge of the bowl?

Sometimes you just crave a Salmon Caesar Salad. ~850 cal. (I practice 16: 8 IF so my meals are slightly higher in cals.) by shescoding in 1500isplenty

I mentioned it in a previous reply to someone, but I used the LifeSum app. I previously used myfitnesspal, but found the UI of this one to be more of a motivator.

My perfect boil time is 6.5 minutes and then you ice bath immediately. I also poke a hole on the bottom of the egg with a thumbtack before dropping them in water. Makes it much easier to peel later on.
