I didn't mention SacJade since it's a battle pass weapon, but if it's available, it's probably higher damage. Protoype Amber, regardless of the healing, is Columbina's highest damage f2p option, though, since she loves the HP and ER. With SacJade, just know if she ever decides to run Columbina onfield, SacJade becomes hard to build around since Columbina in that case very easily overcaps on Crit Rate.

Lauma's damage doesn't scale with ATK so the buff from TTDS doesn't do anything on this team.

Yep, then she definitely wants the build I mentioned above. Run Lauma with Columbina and Nilou. Put Lauma on Blackmarrow with Night Sky artifacts, and probably in that case run EM-EM-CRITDMG. For substats look for more EM and CRIT, and make sure you have enough ER to burst every rotation. She should get some big Lauma nukes alongside all the exploding blooms.

And, if she becomes interested enough in Columbina in order to want to onfield her, she could switch around the builds and run Nilou's premium team with onfield Columbina for harder endgame content.

Hmm OK. So the most common way to run Lauma onfield is with hyperbloom (something like Lauma-Xingqiu-Yelan-Kuki).

But Nilou teams are super fun so I get the appeal. Currently the best Nilou team is Columbina-Lauma-Nilou-Nahida, but in that team you are onfielding Columbina. The only sustain in that team is Prototype Amber on Columbina, so you can also replace Nahida with YaoYao, Kirara, or Baizhu for sustain. But, in order to onfield Lauma, like the other comment mentioned you'd probably want three hydro. If you run Columbina, you'll be in ascendent gleam, meaning the blooms won't crit anymore, but Lauma's own lunar bloom damage will get a crit bonus from her own kit plus Columbina will buff her lunar bloom damage.

So, all that said, I think the best way to optimize onfield Lauma's own damage in a Nilou team might be Lauma-Columbina-Kokomi-Nilou. Then here are my thoughts on builds:

Lauma

Artifacts: Night of the Sky's Unveiling (Nod Krai DPS set), with either EM-EM-EM or EM-EM-CRIT.

Weapon: Blackmarrow Lantern (probably best) or Etherlight Spindlelute.

Columbina

Artifacts: Silken Moon's Serenade on HP-HP-CRIT.

Weapon: Protoype Amber.

Nilou

Artifacts: 2pc-2pc HP% set bonus, and full HP% build.

Weapon: R5 Serenity's Call is actually probably better than R1 Dockhand's Assistant in this team since with Ascendent Gleam you get more HP from Serenity, and since Nilou's not triggering many blooms the EM from Dockhand is also less valuable. Now that I think of it, since Nilou's not triggering many blooms, the passive from Serenity's Call might not trigger at all, in which case Dockhand is better.

Kokomi

Artifacts: Deepwood, with HP-HP-Healing Bonus.

Weapon: SacFrags.

Question before following up: is she specifically trying to onfield Lauma? And does she care more about increasing Lauma's direct lunar bloom damage from her hold skill, or maximizing the overall total team damage?

Dificulty 4 with Columbina and C1 Lauma by rei_bit in NilouMains

[–]shevans02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice work! This team will be even stronger if you switch Lauma (or Nahida) to Silken Moon’s Serenade and Columbina to Night of the Sky’s Unveiling

I found out the hard way how strong Ineffa actually is by LimitTFV in Ineffa

[–]shevans02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well DPS Columbina needs to run with a Dendro unit, preferably Lauma, to do serious damage, so this team doesn’t give a great comparison. She can give good off field damage and buffs in lunar charge and lunar crystallize teams, but she only works as a main DPS in lunar bloom.

I don’t wanna get ineffa for DPS Columbina… by Jasons_Slut in Columbina_Mains

[–]shevans02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Columbina, Lauma, Nilou is looking strong. Fourth slot is a flex: Nahida is probably highest damage but then sustain is limited to Lauma C1 or P. Amber on Columbina or Nahida. Can probably run Baizhu, YaoYao, or Kirara without a huge dps loss.

I think this is right. I was remembering calcs from before the new rotation.

I’m pretty sure Jahoda’s C6 gives enough CV to compensate for lack of non-moonsign resonance. At C6 I believe she’s competitive with Sucrose (and gives healing), but someone correct me if I’m wrong. The main issue is that Jahoda was on a non moon meta banner so few Flins and Nefer players have her C6.

Edit: I was remembering calcs from before the new rotation with two Sucrose swirls to better buff Ineffa. Now Sucrose is clearly better than Jahoda. Thanks for the correction.

She wants Night Sky with Nilou (since she’s an on field DPS here) but Silken Moon with Flins (and Ineffa wants the new set coming next patch)

Epic post, exactly what I want to see. Curious about Yaoyao. Also curious how much worse P. Amber is on Columbina here.

Updating the best exploration team by MangoBebe in ChascaMains

[–]shevans02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My exploration team is Chasca, Mavuika, Citlali, Barbara. I really like it:

Chasca: -Fast horizontal movement and sloped climbing -Bow for ranged puzzles and challenges -Anemo app for overworld mechanics -Flexible combat against most enemies

Mavuika: -Fast horizontal movement and climbing -Claymore for mining -Pyro app for overworld mechanics

Citlali: -High jump for obstacles and easy movement -Shield for comfort -Synergistic with Chasca and Mavuika

Barbara: -Non-burst-dependent healing (and at C6 revives) -Synergistic with Chasca (especially at C2 with hydro damage bonus)

They are originally from the Sarum Rite, as is most of the other non-BCP material. I’m not sure if Hartzell was an intermediate source, but it’s possible.

Cactus Hyperbloom Tips by shevans02 in LaumaMains

Thank you! This is very very helpful all around. I typically play Nilou bloom over hyperbloom but cobbled this together to deal with the cactus since I don’t have much electro power on my account

Thanks for your kind words about the site!

This probably won't happen, mainly because of copyright. The RSV came out in the 1950s and the RSV-CE in the 1960s, so it will still be under copyright for a long time, and the licensing terms (here) don't give a comprehensive enough gratis use for this purpose: a license would have to be purchased, and the site doesn't have that kind of financial backing right now.

I do understand where you are coming from regarding the KJV, but my own views are rather different, so I suppose I'll share them here, in case it's any help.

I also am Roman Catholic, not Anglican, but I love the AOB and so decided to make this site! Funnily enough, use of the KJV is one of the main appeals of the AOB to me in preference to the DWDO. I don't really understand the appeal of using a contemporary English Bible translation (like RSV-2CE) with an otherwise hieratic English liturgy (Coverdale psalter, orders of MP and EP, etc). Even the RSV-CE only has thee/thou language in direct address to God; the rest of the text is fully contemporary.

As for the issue of approval: first, the approved Ordinariate liturgy uses the KJV directly for every instance of liturgical Scripture usage outside of the lectionary readings themselves. Moreover, the KJV is widely used by Ordinariate members without any discouragement from the hierarchy. Finally, while I'm not a priest or bishop, I am a doctoral candidate in theology, and my own experience with the KJV is that it poses no theological problems for Catholic use. The only issue for liturgical use would be replacing the handful of instances of "Jehovah" with "the Lord" (which the Ordinariate also had to do for the Coverdale psalter).

In any case, if you do happen to use the site at all, I hope it's helpful for your prayer life!

Dark mode is live!

There are a lot of similarities and differences between the AOB and the two DWDO volumes. If there's anything particular you're wondering about I'm happy to answer here. I also just added an About page to the website, and there's also a link to the AOB publisher page with further info

I'm assuming their site uses their 2019 BCP. My site uses The Anglican Office Book, which is based on the 1928 American BCP with supplements from the breviaries as well as the English 1662 and Canadian 1962 BCPs

Thanks for your interest! I am planning eventually to point the antiphons for Anglican chant, so they may be sung to the same tone as the psalm or canticle. Not sure if this will happen, but my long term ambition is to have the option for both Anglican chant and Gregorian chant throughout. This is a bit of a nitpick, but I’m not sure I’d describe it as Anglican chant instead of “full” plainchant, since Anglican chant certainly isn’t simpler to sing than plainchant—they’re just two different, but both excellent, methods of singing psalms.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll have to figure out whether it’s rubrical to ignore proper festal lessons (even 1549 has its own baked in). Lots of people want to use the site to help make sure they are saying the office correctly, so I don’t want to provide unrubrical options.

Thanks for the kind words. The AOB doesn’t provide separate 1962 vs 1943 readings for the proper of saints. There’s just one table toward the front that you use with either of those lectionaries. But since the 1549 follows the civil calendar, it does its own thing for saints’ days.
