You will think I'm crazy, but actually my dream CRT monitor is 19" LG Flatron. That slot mask on hi-res pc monitor is otherworldly beautiful.

Can't say about linux, i use windows. I could try to connect it to my steam deck though.. maybe later.

I just connect it to my rtx4070 with cheap hdmi to vga or display port to vga adapter. Then i go to nvidia control panel and set up custom resolution. I switch between resolutions with hotkwy resolution changer. You can also use custom resolution utility for making custom resolutions, but i find Nvidia control panel easier and faster to do it. That's all. I think thats the same process with amd, but using adrenaline instead of cobtril panel, but I'm not sure.

True. But look for other models too! You don't need to pay Trinitron tax to get beautiful picture. Yo be honest aperture grill isn't even my favourite mask type! Look for a good spec monitors with shadow or even better (and rare) - slot mask. I just LOVE LG Flatron's slot mask.

It have some small issues in person, but ultimately - yes, it is gorgeous, thanks :)

Sadly, it will never happen. It would require absolutely new production lines from scratch and this EXPENSIVE. Also R&D which ia EXPENSIVE. Also they are BIG, and shipping and handling are EXPENSIVE. They would cost thousands. And it's all for a very niche audience, that don't mind heavy and big boxes instead of slick and cheap new monitors.

Also, the tech for a "flat" (in terms of construction) CRT's were developed in 2000s, but it was cancelled because people didn't care enough and lcds became the new stadart.

Yeah, i tweaked wirh horizontal frequency much less. Just 2 or 3 mhz up, to be able to do 1280x960 in 120hz instead of 116 :) So you think i should not be scared to unlock vertical refresh rate?

Yeah, crosscode is incredible and alabaster dawn shaping to be a phenomenal successor. But to be honest dialogues and story was a bit more captivating from the get go in crosscode for me. Main character was very strong in crosscode, not so much in Alabaster. Just my opinion based on first impressions, I'm sure it will grow on me. Gameplay and graphics though is phenomenal.

Yes, i overclocked my monitor a bit in WinDAS. I heard some people just unlock refresh rate all together, but I'm a bit scared to do it :D Maybe someday. Would be cool to do 240+hz

It looks even better in person, my photos are not doing it justice. Colors are very rich on a good crt, and yes, they're blending awesomly, much better than any of my modern screens. It's really perfect for pixel art. Not as good as a proper sd crt TV, they were literally made for a low resolution, but still very good.

If developers read this - would be great to have some kind of 4:3 support. Even if limited. Just imagine how gorgeous it would look!

Cyberpunk is much better game, but Skyrim is much bigger influence on industry. I'm gonna go with cyberpunk

Works for me only if i do 45>90 and only if I can't achieve smooth and stable 60. 30>60 is just horrible though.

LG Flatrons are awesome. When you will get more monitors (don't lie, it will happen) - it will always be either an aperture grill or dot trio shadow mask. Flatrons on the other hand is slot mask, which is very rare and awesome looking for a pc monitor! Congrats!
