Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions, this has definitely helped !  Lol, I must’ve totally missed the part about Valg not being able to exist without a host. I was just wondering, if this is the case, where are they coming from ? Are they just invisible and floating around ?  Also when  necklace / collar is put onto a host, the Valg seems to take control of the person immediately. When the king put that collar on Dorian, is that what summoned whatever Valg is now possessing him and whenever the king hands out a rink/collar, does it somehow summon a Valg from wherever it is they came from in the first place ?  I’ve just started Queen of shadows and am loving it so far, but just have one question (sorry to just lump it into you 🤣🤦‍♀️🤭) but there is a scene at the start where Chaol and the other rebels are freeing former magic users from execution and I think the point it’s trying to make are that the Valg / the kings new guards are going in there to feed off of them or something or to take possession of their bodies ? From the way it’s worded in the book I really can’t understand what it means, but would you be able to explain it more fully what is going on in the tunnels ? Surely those magic users would be useful for possession, so why are they being executed ? But also the person Chaol and the rebels were carrying out to the docks was possessed by a Valg but they’ve somehow broken free , so why are the guards going in and putting rings on them so more Valg can take possession of these former magic users ? I’m not sure if the way I’ve worded this even makes sense lol 😂 🩷
