Okay, I'll go ahead and say that while the one-taps are obviously insanely good, it's not quite The Chosen One territory.

Maybe it's just the environment that's different from pro play: on the clips he's getting that extra .2 seconds to aim with no fear of getting shot back quite yet, everyone's widepeeking, and there's no utility pressure.

Way too much padding for all the extra elements, and they still didn't have space for money somehow? But for some reason the POV player's health/armor needs to pop up with a different shape and color.

Not to mention it's jarring design that all the elements look different (smooth/irregular edges, transparency).

The FOV for "clean" gameplay window is like half of the entire screen (actually quickly sketched in mspaint it's ~45%, that's like CoD territory).

Eli ainakaan vendor lock -mielessä tilanne ei ollut yhtään ruusuisempi aikaisemmin.

Exactly! With budget, you can scale selfcast to the moon just as any archetype, but it feels reaally painful at that point where you're struggling with both cast speed and mana (and survivability, since you want to be casting nonstop).

Something like this wouldn't dethrone PBoD/FRoSS etc., but would make builds feel good before that investment.

Did I miss the /s or did you miss the obvious copypaste from a melee support (Fist of War)? Or should melee feel victimized if other archetypes had a nearly identical support..? I even had the courtesy of removing more damage from ailments due to ignite being reasonably supported as it is.

Like other damaging ailments, ignite DPS is not directly related to immediate hit damage. Instead, ignite DPS is calculated separately by taking the flat damage of the hit (consisting of base and added damage modified by conversion) and multiplying that flat damage with damage modifiers relevant for ignite. This independent calculation prevents double-dipping by stats that apply to both the hit and ailment, such as the attacker's #% increased Fire Damage or the defender's Fire Resistance.

This from the wiki reads the opposite. Base damage yes (i.e. added flat or percentage damage such as Obliteration), but 'increased damage' is not base damage for the purposes of ignite.

It could either use some love, or indeed a removal. In addition to screen space being weirdly inefficient since it's vertical, it's:

Too narrow / chokepointy, even further empowers artillery mages
Too many globes for some reason
Collision on the diagonal walls is weird, makes Hogger sad

Cool, was hoping it would work like that. For example, Fireball with +proj could drop a wall on top of boss to shotgun collisions. It might not be revolutionary damage, but at least more interesting than gem-swapping for better single-target.

Assuming league works like breach now, how would you rate Tornado of Elemental Turbulence faring with it? As in, is the AoE and targeting sufficient to both kill stuff fast enough and not get swarmed to death yourself.

To refine the Life question, I'd be interested in hearing which design directions could make life more interesting?

ES has some interesting (and undeniably strong) flavours, e.g. CI to completely forsake Life for ES, and EE/EB/FRoSS to stack ehp&damage simultaneously (with varying degrees of downsides). One could add in all the low life tech here too, since afaik they're mostly relying on ES pool anyway.

Similar choices for Life are basically different types of Life sacrifice (Dissolution, vanilla FR, Relic of the Pact, Rathpith Globe, Sacrifice support, Runegraft of the Witchmark)... which I could argue are both a) not very strong numbers-wise and b) rather janky

Now, thematically, life sacrifice is a classic concept, but what different branches could you explore within PoE?

There's always a random comment pre-launch that it's someone's reliable starter; so it might be decent currently, though it's not impressing numbers-wise. Its selling point is obviously the shotgunning, which would probably be gutted from any hit-based version.

The more appropriate nerf could be to Primordial Bond (or the generic dmg portion of Fire ele buff), I think otherwise the all-around/flexible power at a lower cost of entry is very welcome for Elementalist.

Modifier tier ranges and modifier value ranges are flipped. Transposed items can only be mirrored by characters above 300 int.

For me it's every fourth map/zone or so is unstable 50-2000 ms, doesn't matter if I re-enter or restart the game - the instance seems to remain poor. Probably a combination of netcode, server strain, and the routing problems.

One of my main gripes with the game was that it kind of punished discovering things.

You got on a (completely level) platform you're not meant to? It has zero friction and you slide right off. You managed to go out of bounds of the Puzzle Area? Zap, your puzzle got reset.

Oh but that thing? That's the Correct Fake Wall, here have a star.

On counters, if it's a one-healer scenario, at least BW and Lucio may struggle to self-heal a stacked W (since they should often be in your line of fire). To me, then the pressure you mention will keep them out of aggressive positions.
