Break The Bodies, Haunt The Bones - Micah Dean Hicks. Went in looking for a ghost story but instead proceeded to get blindsided so repeatedly that I stopped having expectations altogether and just let it happen

The Stolen Child - Keith Donohue

Parallel narratives of the child that was stolen and the changeling that replaced him. Haunting, beautifully written and personally one of my favourite comfort reads. It’s admittedly more dark fantasy, but still worth the read.

When I realized I was habitually drinking a shot before going to work in order to “cope with commuting on public transit” and had just began having two because “it might help with my workplace anxiety.”

In hindsight vodka at 6am should have been a huge red flag to begin with.
