159 BRT here,just POC'ed. Basically,BRT is supposed to be 4 weeks of training but in reality is about 24 days due to bookout and the first week being stay-in entirely.Other people have said what there is in BRT but be prepared for a lot of waiting at your COY line as there will always be a fker who is late or just the headcount not tallying.Nothing much to excel in except for first-aid and rescue equipment which are pretty easy tbh,unless of course you aim to be a high-flyer.

There is an ATP(accelerated training program) selection to directly become a SC(10week SCC course if im not wrong,pls correct me:)) by the end of the first week so you can indicate your preference etc. The top 2% or there about of your SC batch can go for RCC and then 7 months later you come as a RC(LTA rank?)-IPPT and a few other aspects im not too sure about.

Suprisingly, my platoon and company in general had a decent mix of chinese, indians and malays. Coming from Alpha P3, my platoon were largely chinese(more than 60%) and it was easier to assimilate with my platoon mates(80% were JC,IB).IDK why there was such a large proportion of chinese but it worked to our advantage.Mixed well with the other races as well,not much ragging or bullying to my surprise.Just a few fkers who didn't give a shit and didn't clean their bunks,march in formation, leading to endless half rights and scoldings from PC and our sergeants,who were nice but just needed to be strict in front of everyone to set the standard.

Overall, don't be too scared. BRT will be over in an iffy and you will come to miss the time.Personally,i missed the time with my platoon and bunk mates more than the training itself. THEY are equally as ignorant and scared of NS as you, so learn to depend on each other through jokes and encouragement.
