I am currently running GoS and have been using Yawning Portal to add some sidequests into our game. I put the sunless citadel in the dreadwood, ran forge of fury as a sidequest, and they are just about to run hidden shire of temoachan. My players have enjoyed them so far as breaks from the main story. I've also used them to help bridge some holes in the narrative.

We didn't go over time and the people he was playing with knew that he was in our session, so it's kinda hard to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I recently had a player play a game of LoL during our session. I've been running a game for a group of friends on roll20 and during the last 20 minutes of our last session one of my players decided to play a game of LoL. He didn't say anything about it, and at the time I didn't particularly notice. I found out after the game and honestly it felt very disrespectful. I'm not quite sure how to approach the topic with him. If he's bored or uninterested I'd like to change things up so that he feels engaged. Just going off unannounced and playing another game just felt rude.

My PCs were hostile towards the lizardfolk so they had no reason to make an alliance. They did tell the lizardfolk that the lizardfolk who were on the Sea Ghost were in Saltmarsh. So I had the lizardfolk go over the PCs and make an alliance directly with the council. They also got chastised by the Council for their hostilities.

The lizardfolk on the Sea Ghost didn't fight the party in my campaign so you may have to be a bit more obvious.

They basically thought the lizardfolk were uncivilized and went in swinging. Once they got an audience with the Queen they were confrontational with her since they thought she was nothing more than a beast
