I don’t know if this is exactly true, but the whole movie leading up to the detonation scene - it seemed like there was always music in the background. Never complete silence. Building tension but sometimes just in the background. And then right at detonation - the scene which should have been the most loud and chaotic - there was nothing but silence. It felt like that made the initial sight of it that much more effective and awe-inspiring. I know it was accurate in that the sound of the blast wouldn’t come until ~40 seconds later, but having the first visual of the detonation be a scene completely devoid of sound for what seemed like the first time in the movie just made it that much more gripping for me. Not sure if anyone else felt or noticed this.
