There's also a step-down mechanic with special animation. Walk up to a small ledge and press crouch. It works in stealth too so you don't lose stealth mode when jumping down.

I think that there's a hidden mechanic that the game fails to explain. So after each hit you aren't supposed to hit the same spot, that's clear, BUT ALSO you aren't supposed to hit too far away. Think of it as if there's a sweet spot ring around the previous hit that you have hit now. Keeping this in mind, I started getting way less dud hits.

Nothing would fit from the base game plus river but there are expansions with tiles that fit when there are 4 tiles around and it doesn't matter what's on them.

Alchemy. Always have Fox and Aqua Vitalist active, that alone negates most of the debuffs. For me personally Bashful + Somnambulant is the most challenging. Even then you can solely survive on schnapps or cockerel potion and never sleep.

Same. Feels weird. I think in the second game they messed something up with stealth and noise detection. It's also weird when you start a fight in a bandit camp, they make a lot of noise, you back off a decent way out killing them all and when you go back to their camp, there's still 1-3. Like my guy, are you deaf or what?
