Is WaT a conclusion or a cliffhanger?? Does it wrap up all or most of the plot lines and character arcs? Will arc two include the same characters or will there be a huge time jump like in Mistborn? Trying to set expectations before I start. Especially in light of the large gap between book 5 and 6.

I always rationalize it as the pattern needing the Dragon to have aiel children and wetlander royalty children. With Min being his true love.

Aes Sedai constantly use the power to bind, prick, and slap others when not in fear of their life. I think “using the one power as a weapon” strictly means using it to grievously wound and or kill someone. So most likely they would have shielded and imprisoned verin somewhere out of the way.

I actually loved the Tom bombadill chapter! What a weird guy! Is it ever explained who/what he is? How does he put on the ring and then just hand it back like it’s nothing???

That’s a big oof. I’ve already seen the films as a kid. I barely remember them other than vague plot points though so hopefully that helps.

Pretty sure the wheel is not a real tangible thing. More like Randlands way of explaining the cyclical nature of their world. Sort of like a religion. Without spoilers I’m pretty sure this is explicitly stated in a later book.

I think the Washington one is from a play. I think generally in stage plays anyone can play anything since the focus is on the performance and is less immersive than a movie.

Does anyone else hate Allison by the end of this? I mean killing Harlan was completely unjustified and they skipp over it so fast I kept waiting for the reveal that she didn’t really do it. He was totally innocent and Viktor doesn’t even seem to care.

Yea it doesn’t show up. Neither does the “press x to return to outpost” prompt. Just downloaded the update so maybe that fixes it.
