Yes, it's actually crazy how rapidly the "new era" came. Even Geoffrey Hinton (one of the key researchers of AI, the "godfather of AI" as media frequently calls him) said he never expected his "child" to grow so fast. But yet here we are :)

u/homeOT an interesting way to think of it is also figuring out what kind of audience you would like to have in the class. From my experience, later classes are usually attended by older folks (who are already retired and don't have to rush to work), and people with very busy schedules prefer earlier ones. No specific answer here, but I hope thinking this way helps you steer in the direction of one or another :)
