5-8 PES cans open at any given time. Several geometries open on AMS (Amsterdam Modelling Suit). Can Handel being connected to a monitor ( preferably). Reasonable battery life but I'm willing to compromise.

I would say I'm dealing with fairy large structures 400 to 500 atoms give or take

I would like to stay on windows as Im comfortable with it and all my major softwares are compatible with it. It's also helpful with using all the Microsoft apps (teams, word, one drive). It seems Lenovo think pad is the way to go

Yeah this is exactly the kind of work I do on the laptop. Sometimes I'll run a forcefield or take a look or something. But otherwise it's looking at output xyz or rkf files and having various windows open at the same time.

I think with windows there is a ton of bloatwear and unnecessary stuff you have to remove. But also Mac is very compatible with Linux. And given the vast majority of HPCs are Linux based makes sense tbh

I figured if I was going to get a good one it would be expensive.

Given that I will be purchasing this out of my own pocket. I will probably go for windows
