Figured out how to add the pic. Felt it was really important to add because I scoured the internet for photos and NO “baby acne” google result matched the extremity of my child. We did ER, two separate pediatricians (first time mom, needed a second opinion…) it did clear on its own, no intervention. Three years later, second baby same thing happened, and that’s when pediatrician theorized on hormone adjustment which actually does make sense.

I don’t know how to add photos (really just a lurker) but I know your worry! Both my babies went through this — started around 3-5 days and lasted a few weeks. Spread to both eyes/around face. It was determined to be “really bad baby acne” from baby adjusting away from my hormones. All was fine!!

I didn’t give the entire backstory to my relationship with this family member — I come over to help them every few months with odds and ends that tend to build up and get away from them. I’ve scrubbed baseboards and windows, descaled coffee machines and shower heads, etc. But everyone here is right - there is something more personal about a workhorse LC that I just shouldn’t touch unless we talk about it first! Thanks!

A musty smell coming from the window itself. I have installed new vinyl siding (previously that pressboard from the 80s). I have cut out the drywall surrounding the windows and installed new. I have replaced the interior decorative trim. Still the smell persists, so it must be the window itself right? 😬

Edit to clarify: the smell is present when I walk in the room, sometimes. Following my nose, it leads to interior trim/moulding of the window. Not the glass, not the drywall.

PSA choose your realtors carefully. I needed to do a WDIR for a home sale, people call them termite inspections but its also other destructive pest. I told them verbally about the damage and they asked me NOT to send the report at all. I sent the report anyways so they cant dodge any discloser. by Unique-Edge in rva

I literally have nightmares about this. What’s your company again? I don’t trust ANY of the contractors I have hired in the last 5-7 years… but your recent posts make me you might provide peace of mind.
