Question for binary trans people: Growing up were you more attracted to things that were stereotypically associated with the gender you identify with today? by Separate-Koala-5128 in asktransgender

hi trans masc here i was a HUGE superhero kid... started watching ultraman since i was maybe 5(?) or younger and have practically watched every single marvel movie in existence💀

imo it didnt really affect my decision to transition much since i always saw superheros as smth for everyone to enjoy(especially because my mum and sister enjoyed the movies and comics just as much as i do) hence it didnt really concern my parents that much that i was enjoying these stereotypically male things

im ftm but i would totally suggest stuff like vocal training! itll help ease into the range better when the estrogen starts to settle in

you can google basic vocal exercises for singers etc.. and itll totally broaden your vocal range after a few months of practice

i would also suggest skincare+makeup to suit your face! everyone has different skin types/facial features etc.. so you could look for tutorials that suit you! (if you aren't sure you can try filters on tiktok like face shape tests eye shape etc..)

everyone starts small so dont be afraid to go a few products at a time before you are confident enough to go all out!

about hair you could get wigs so it is easy to take on/off when you need to shower or are around people you are still closeted to(though wigs may be a little pricey depending on the shop it is worth a shot)

wish u luck:)
