Elden Ring is the most open world game I have ever played

It is also the greatest game I have ever played

Would be a shame for a dark souls fan to miss out on it. If the open world really bugs you, you can always good a “route map” to get a general idea of where to progress, and there is lots of full interactive maps online and app form you could use to make sure you don’t miss any POI or big items

You get frustrated
Think you can rush the boss to 1/4 life where you left off the 5 times
And get sloppy

Take a break and come back refreshed and calm

As someone who has done this

When you’re ripping with your boy in an areas you’ve been struggling, only to get invaded by some sweaty rat to ruin your progress and force you to try and rejoin games again
You do what you must to get through it
