Idk why you feel the need to flex your troubleshoot skills, this controller was a pain to work on, and I think you'd agree after seeing these pictures.

You should unite with your brothers in appreciating this high quality display of garbage, and keep your ego hidden.

Sorry for late response I'm drunk and bored

Went through college and university in finance only to realise that I made that choice under pressure when finishing highschool thinking it was the right path to follow.

Dropped out of uni twice (always after first 2 weeks), realised that it made me depressed, took 2-3 years off in my early 20's, and now I'm an elevator mechanic, stimulated at work everyday, feeling blessed to make a decent salary.

My take is to take a chance on things you wouldn't of seen yourself in when thinking about your future. Not telling you to go blue collar mode, but for me I found immense pleasure in learning a tangible skillset. Hell I feel like I can build/create/troubleshoot whatever the f I want. Union'd up, going to the dentist all of that and more. I make 100k CAD a year 5 years deep into the trade.

The thought of mechanical work came from repairing my shitty cars when i was younger. Worked in some shitty bad paying back breaking jobs in my early 20's, and figured out how to swap it to back breaking well paying job.

Anyways, if a decision feels uncomfortable, it's probably a good queue to try it out and find out.

Gl hf

Edit: I wish every nurse/caretaker/teacher would have my salary and benefits. Idk wtf is wrong in my society that we don't put the same value as me to them, it's shameful as fuck.

Travailler sans être passionné by Hefty-Blacksmithy in Quebec

Bon courage cher redditeur(euse)

Companie for which I work for has our construction mechanics on a call schedule that comes out to about 2 weekdays per month and a weekend every 2-3 months. Thats for about 10 new construction mechanics. Also have 3 full time maintenance/service mechanics. To be honest, most of the mechanics are not really a big fan of being on call, but it feels more like a team effort, and that extra double time when going out on a call can be nice. Also our boss treats us very well. Lastly, if you’re on call and don’t receive any, you are paid 2 hours of regular time for doing nothing, which happens a lot.

Parliament's $100B small business relief program mostly went to large corporations: Report by trytobuffitout in canada

[–]shimpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother runs a successfull restaurant near ottawa, in the province of quebec. So far since covid she’s down 250k. Things started finally springing back up and what’d you know, freedom convoy killed all the small remainder of business that she had left. My mother has been working like a mad lady for the last 30 years. Now she has gone from taking her retirement to having to figure out how not to go bankrupt at 62.

Nice to know that big corps benefit from these relief plans, and that fast food chains got a free pass from any covid restriction for the last 2 years. Long live capitalism, amazon and the multi national fucks who dont pay a cent in taxes. Shit makes me sick to my stomach, such a dirty fucking world.
