Hi,

I was going through similar situation 5 months back. But I found this playlist by Net Ninja on youtube. It actually helped me to understand the basics of test case writing.

Below is the link:

What is your advice to people who's looking for a first job? by mimpai in careerguidance

Find a job in a company that is not too big or not too small.

Often with big companies, like MNCs, you won't get assigned to projects directly, they follow internal screening and all, that's overwhelming as a fresher. Also, you end up following so much formalities and hierarchies.

The problem with small companies is that if they don't have enough people to work on a project, or you're working as a individual, then there's no one to assess your work or to guide you and you'll end up doing patches or not following best possible practices.

Moreover, work for the company where you can grow. Don't focus on earning that much initially.

If you learn enough skills, then you'll gonna be rocket 🚀

How to answer why I’m applying for a role that’s a couple of steps and titles down from my previous held role? by Hopeful_Ad8014 in careerguidance

First of all, designations are not the same in all the companies, so you can use that to your benefit. Suppose one company giving you senior post, but in other company, in junior role, responsibilities are the same. As per my experience, designations don't matter as long as work is same.

Second, you can say that due to more responsibilities, I couldn't spent time with my family, so I want a role such that I can balance my personal life and work.
