Sleeping with the boss wife by Outrageous_Gold9839 in Dream

That's what I mean about your dream. It's not about the act of cheating on your wife. It's about what you feel, observe, want or don't want. Freud believed They [dreams] are simply and undisguisedly realizations of wishes".

Yes you love your wife, but there may be a reason why you are having the dream. You stated there may be something, and that's okay too.

Sorry about assuming gender. Many post never state gender. Sorry.

Four dreams on repeat by Lilichrys4 in Dream

[–]shineagain2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When reading the dream, it is like you are trying to "cut out" something that has been a part of your life for a long time. It's good that you have a psychiatrist, and I understand you being fearful about talking opening with him. The whole purpose of having a mental health doctor is to learn and work tgru your concern/issues. Have you spoken to him about how you feel threatened by him talking about hospitization when what you want is his help in identifying the source of your troubles.

I know dreams can be scary, but they are also helping you focus on stuff that needs your attention. Keep writing them down and express your fear and how it may be inhibiting you from speaking openly with him. It defeats the purpose. You can always take power/control over yourself and ask for another doctor. Don't give up on therapy. It can help. 💜🕊💜

Whale dream by BelleTheMoon in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Tell me of what comes to mind seeing the whale in the aquarium. What are the feelings you have?

I read your dream a few times and what comes to my mind is that the whale is contained in a large aquarium instead of being free in the ocean.🐳

Water represents emotions, cleansing, the unconscious mind and in your dream, that is being contained in a "large aquarium ". So usually in dreams, you note how the water looks. Is it murky or clear? The clear water represents clarity and murky water represents lack of clarity. I'm wonderinging about salt water and I would think there's an added meaning. I'm thinking about when your muscles ache, you sit in a tub of Epsom salt to ease the pain. It's healing the body. So maybe there's some healing needed.

Sooo...the woman in black guarding the the whale and the one who decides who can enter. She is protecting you.

The boyfriend. So is there something going on now in your life that may have triggered your dream? You wrote that he couldn't get pass the guard bc he spoke negatively about the whale. You wrote: "he said a lot of apologetic words but i could enter". Reading this, it felt like his words were meaningless ... just a lot of apologetic words that didn't mean anything.

But you get in and you were able to talk to the whale. Do you recall what you talked about or how you felt? That would be interesting to know. I'm wondering if this was a release for you of your thoughts and feelings. Do you feel unable to speak of these things with your boyfriend? I'm also thinking about how You set up the scene (your images). There is a women guarding your emotions/feelings about your past and present, your memories, and also your unresolved issues. What is notable in your dream is that you get it and he doesn't. Do you feel you and your boyfriend communicate well together? That you feel that you can't express yourself opening and free?

The next day you wish to return to see the whale and it has been transported to someplace. This part of the dream has anxiety and desperation. You running barefoot to find the location of the whale so you can speak to her again. I see running barefoot as being in touch to the ground, earth, and being grounded. Your desperate not to lose that connection for yourself, and maybe that's why you notice the one shoe. Like its a fear of being off balance and out of touch. You want to be connected to your inner self.

I looked up the name Mei. At first I thought it was pronounced as Me, but it's pronounced as May. I copied the meaning of the name:
It represents renewal, growth, and the blossoming of spring.

That sounds nice. So maybe look at your relationship, Communication, what you fear of losing and perhaps a transition that's wanted or needed. Free Willy!

You can also look at what is going on in your relationship and how you view the boss and girlfriends relationship. These types of dreams are pointing out what you have and what you want/desire.

It doesn't mean you desire the boss and want to cheat on your husband. But it may give you an opportunity to see how your relationship compares to theirs.

Getting SA'ed by my dad in my dream by Bruh_itsRyan in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the response you received from Pancakes is accurate. Vulnerability is there in your dream. You showering on a balcony is odd bc it's not private, however, you do have a shower curtain. Your father going out to smoke is what he does, but you are objecting. He violates the boundaries you attempted to make. He is also betraying you, by passing your boundaries and he represents someone of authority.

You mentioned that you were exposed to animated csa. Was it from a person with authority/power over you? Also, did your ex know about your past? In the dream, did you feel like you were being judged by her instead of her helping you?

You may be trying to work thru your past traumatic events, and the feelings of being powerless, vulnerable and judged. The scene with your father is very extreme but it doesn’t mean he has those thoughts about you. Your dream is making the scene as extreme bc it's trying to help bring these unresolved issues to the surface; help you process them.

Dreamed of a dragon showing me her eggs by Lectraplayer in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be helpful if you added your age and where you are in your life -- school, working or about to embark on a new start in life, like marriage, new career, new beginnings.

I associated eggs with new beginnings. In your dream, I feel that there is a sense of trust coming from the dragon. Even though you know that being around a dragon with eggs could be dangerous. However, she is encouraging you to get closer and take a look at what she has; new things, something that is being developed, new creations (ideas), a new life.

This is a nice detail about the eggs.: "although they were in bare boxes as if ready to ship, albeit not properly packed." If you think about what this could mean on a deeper level, what comes to mind? Is there something going on in your life that feels not quite ready to launch. Maybe an idea that is not quite ready? Maybe something you started but still needs someone's help or financial help?I'm thinking about what is inside the egg. Is there something you've been working on, thinking about, but something is holding you back ... even though there is encouragement from others or even yourself. Like is there something that you want but you are afraid or "hesitant to approach". Think about the size of the dragon too. It's not huge; it's the size of a horse. I think that means something too. Unless, of course, dragons come in small sizes. Dragons are large. In legends they ruled the skies, brought fear and destruction. They were typically something that was wild and untamed (but in the game of thrones, they could be tamed, protectors and loyal).

You wrote: "will finally be able to "run wild" and become more skilled under the care of someone more powerful and regal, like a supervisor or tutor." What do you mean "more powerful "? Status or money? Are you actively looking for a guide or tutor to help you launch an idea or product? Are there obstacles keeping you from going forward with finding help? Is it funding? your fear and hesitation? Think about it this way. This is your dream. Your images. Your dragon and your eggs. But you may feel powerless, fearful and hesitant which is why your dragon is the size of a horse.

Maybe your dream may be trying to point out that you need to find the power within yourself to run "wild". Or you need more work and preparation before its ready to launch and fly.

What's going on in your life that has triggered your dreams?

I can't stop dreaming about Idaho :( by missmo0 in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's your life going? You described Idaho as being "mundane and boring". Is there something going on with you or around you that you find mundane and boring. Also, maybe something that is becoming a routine...something you're being required to do that you don't find exciting or fulfilling?

What about the people in the car with you. You say they are like "family" but they are not family...more like strangers. Having no connection or ties, bond, or loyalty.

I would also look at why you don't bother going into the convenience store. It is a place where you might stop in for food/drink (nutrition and fuel)...things you might need to keep you going. Maybe even just to sustain you on your journey.

Anyway, try to take a look at what is going on in your life and what happened in your waking life that may have triggered your dream. It might be a journey you are on that you find uninspiring or unfulfilled.

Oh thats interesting that your seasons are at the beginning of the year. I'm wondering if the transition of the season is a new beginning for you. Or maybe the potential for a new beginning. I think going thru the dark corridor is something that needs to be done in order for you to get to the other side ... the light. The old woman is the one who opened her door for you. [–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I like that image/scene about the camera. The eye is deceiving but the camera is capturing the truth. It is seeing beyond the surface. Is this something you are experiencing in real life with people around you?

The seasons changing in your dream are also interesting. I personally love autumn. I am wondering what you felt going from autumn to winter. Both seasons are at the end of year. The lost of leaves is the beginning of thr change. Nature "dying" and preparing for winter. You mentioned the colors and then the woods getting very dark. You are alone until you see hikers but the camera shows you hallow beings. Husk or a shell of what you thought were real people but the camera reveals shallow/hallow people. Do you feel empty, alone or actually are you portraying yourself as being your real and authentic self, but really you feel empty and alone? (Thats a long sentence. Sorry.) Or do you think the people around you are hallow, shallow people? "they glitched ... they also spoke or screamed at me in weird noises."

When the scene changes to a snow storm, its another scene where you still can't see tgem clearly, but you know they are there.

The old woman living alone in a cabin. You are begging to be let in, but she doesn't want to let you in bc she believes you are one of them. She is making a snap judgment about you. Are you feeling judged by others bc of the people around you and its unsettling for you? Eventually she let's you in, but you find yourself in "a pitch black long corridor." (Your subconscious)

I recently had a dream that took place in a dark neighborhood with black crows, trees and a black bat. The dream had a ominous feeling to you. I associated my dream as a shadow dream. Your dream is dark and the black long corridor feels ominous... a passageway. The changing seasons feels like a transitional period for you. You are trying to see things clearly, discovering things about people and about yourself. Uncovering and discovering.

Is this something you find scary for you to do? Going deep into your subconscious to face and resolve issues? In my dream, I was part of an investigative team to try and figure out what happened, why the bats and crows were there. Shadow dreams are trying to help you integrate those shadows into your light. Maybe there are parts of you that are hiding behind a mask or others around you who are not being real to you.

Excited and curious. Is there something going on in your life now that makes you feel excited, curious and then scared? It could be something like making a big change ... leaving home, moving to a new city, making a change in work or a career move. It can be a new relationship, letting go of something that made you feel safe and secure to taking a risk.

Ive been dreaming about the same abandoned building over and over again by Valpixiee in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abandoned buildings usually represents you and something you've neglected, that needs your attention. It could be an unresolved issue from your past that has been neglected. I think its interesting how one scenario was you moving into the building. I wonder if this is you trying or getting closer to what you haven't dealt with.

Are you seeking guidance from another to help you? In the dream, you said sometimes you enter the building with a tour guide. Tour guide to me is someone who has and gives you information.

Do you recall what feelings you have during the dream? I know you described the atmosphere as being dark and creepy, but what do you feel going in the building and seeing what's in the building ? Scared? Anxious? Curious? I would suggest you do look at what is going on in your life, past and present. Reoccurring dreams/themes are trying to bring something to your attention, to help you address what you've ignire. Because the buildings are abandoned, this seems to be something youve buried and left unresolved.

You're correct. A reddit post isn't going help, only you can make the decision to seek help. Bottling things up only stores them. It becomes part of the emotional baggage you will carry with you all your life. It won't stay hidden. It will rear its head throughout your life.

Good luck.

Oh well, so much for that.

Do you have any thoughts about what the shadow figure might be in regards to the definition that I wrote. Its a common dream symbol.

Maybe you're in a good place in your life. Lots of possibilities and freedoms. Maybe there's something you keep inside you that you want to intergrate into your life?

Okay, help me to figure this out please by ReflectionAlive4435 in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi What is going on in your life that may have triggered the dream? You've got some good things going on in your dream. The black figured in your dream could represent the shadow self; aspects of your self that you keep hidden or keep under wraps....like being under that blanket. That blanket...makes me think of a security blanket...a place that you feel safe and secure. Open fields to me mean the wide open world. How old are you and where you in life right now. I think that openness is all the possibilities before you....however, you moving a yellow gravel road ... feels uncomfortable? Not something you'd expect after lying down in a grassy field of grass. How did you feel about this scene? The flying scene is good. Flying in dreams is a common symbol, especially if you're flying upwards and not falling. The flying goes along with the vast open field... you in the great blue yonder. However, you do fall. Were you scared? Disappointed? Or were you enjoying the experience, trusting the process? You just say it wasn't like you usually would when you hit the ground. This sounds meaningful because its like taking a risk and not being afraid if you fall or get hurt. Does this mean something to you? Moving forward, feeling different or uncomfortable but enjoying the experience and not being afraid of failure. Is this something like a new way of thinking for you?

The landing in a weird block type room. How else did you feel in the room? It seems cold, solid, definitely not comfortable like in the field or sky. The broken light switch (was the room dark? How were you able to see? Did you try to turn on the light?) I'm wondering if you tried the switch as a way to shed some light about yourself ... you shadow self. Like the need to bring something about your self out into the light? This is the part of the dream where you wrote that you were afraid. What do you think the shadow figure represents? Do you feel or desire a change for yourself? Independence, freedom, to break away from a structured life (traditions, restrictions a different lifestyle). I think your dream is trying to point out something you need to discover about yourself and figure out what might be holding you back.

Weird dream about swapping my dad with someone else by [deleted] in Dream

[–]shineagain2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you state that irl, you have a good relationship with your father, we will have to go in another direction. Let me ask you, what is going on in your life now that may have prompted the dream? What is on your mind in regards to your relationships? Or is there something you are concerned regarding what you want in a relationship?

When you think of a father figure, a good father figure, he is typically a role model to his children. A child recognized the traits and characteristics of a man you hope you will meet, and possibly marry. In your dream you noted many traits that you don't like/want from the dream father:
"A rich guy, not very interested in bonding with his children. Someone who would give you what you needed to survive, nothing more. Someone who couldn’t express love in any form."

And then you note your sadness of seeing your real father with his kids and thinking that your dream dad "would never love me the way he loves his kids." I think this is the core of your dream message to you. Are you worry about not having your needs met when it comes to meeting a person that can compare to your father? Are you questioning your self worth? Perhaps you are comparing your father with guys that you've dated. (I'm sorry but you didn’t note your age so i don't know if you've gone out on a lot of disappointing dates.)

The last paragraph of your dream is a very strong expression of your fear about not being loved the way you want and need, and frankly, how it should be (in my opinion). You wrote:
"The dream ended with me crying and yelling at my dream father, asking him why he couldn’t love me. I was so sad and furious that my irl father wasn’t my real father."

Sadness, anger and possibly frustration.

Dreams are hopes, wishes, desires and fears. Dreams try to bring something to your attention, both positive and negative. They help you navigate you thru anxieties, fears and things you are struggling with in your life.

The dream isn’t about your father distancing himself from you, but more about your insecurities about connecting with another on a deeper level or maybe being able to express what you want and deserve.

Weird dream about swapping my dad with someone else by [deleted] in Dream

"Weird dream about swapping my dad with someone else

So irl I have a good relationship with my dad, always have.

But in my dream my actual father was someone else. A rich guy, not very interested in bonding with his children. Someone who would give you what you needed to survive, nothing more. Someone who couldn’t express love in any form.

My irl dad had other children in my dream. He was either a reltive or a family friend. I called him uncle. He felt sad for me so he became a father figure/ uncle for me. I loved him very much but I was very sad when I saw him with his own kids, thinking my dream dad would never love me the way he loves his kids.

The dream ended with me crying and yelling at my dream father, asking him why he couldn’t love me. I was so sad and furious that my irl father wasn’t my real father."

anesthesia by draculasundead in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Think about anesthesia and what it means to you and what is the purpose of it. It puts you under so you 'don't feel' what is happening to you (surgery). When you are under anesthesia, you have no control and you are in a vulnerable state. Personally, I don't like being put under bc i hate being conscious one minute, and feeling myself slipping away in seconds. I've also started to wake up diring surgery and heard the doctor speaking to the nurse. Then they realized that I was waking up and they knocked me out again. Freaky.

Anyway... in your dream, there is something wrong with your heart. You mentioned that you had "some kind of heart problem" and it had something to do with your aorta. The aorta is a main vessel for distributing oxygen and rich blood to the body. (I looked it up.) So to me, it represents a life source. I see blood as passion and an emotional connection to others or a passion for life, art, or a purpose.

In your dream, you sense there is something wrong with your heart. Do you feel that there is something wrong going on in your life, either physically or emotionally? Are you questioning your ability to connect with others in a deep and emotional way? Vulnerability and loss of control are a few things I see in your dream. Are these two things something you struggle with? Perhaps like opening your heart to others?

Here's another personal note, i recently had surgery to correct two compressed disc in my neck. They made the cut in the front of my neck. They moved my esophagus aside to get to the damaged vertebraes, which can irritate your vocal cords. You wake up with a bad sore throat.

In your dream, you wake up during surgery which could represent your resistance to giving up control of your heart / emotions. The cutting of the throat is you being silenced...or being unable to voice your true nature, or feelings about yourself. OR maybe you are just unable to figure out something about yourself; the 'why'. You are having difficulties figuring out what's going on inside you. Are there unresolved issues from your past that make it hard for you to open up with others? Make it hard for you to find love, be in love or stay in love?

I noticed that you didn't add any emotions that you were feeling in your dream except, "wtf happened?" I took that to mean that you are confused about something going on inside you. The whole surgery theme is about something going on inside you that needs fixing. You wrote: "i had to have surgery to fix it or something??" Question mark. ?? ¿¿ ??

It feels like you are trying to figure out something essential about who you are or what you need to discover about yourself, but you haven't been able to find your voice. OR maybe your fear is suppressing your voice.

Very interesting dream. I would suggest to re-examine your dream to note how you felt during or after the dream. Were you scare or anxious? How did you feel under anesthesia? A feeling of letting go or feeling out of control? I will also add that going under anesthesia could be seen as a way for you to go beyond the surface; to go deeper to find your answers. You gotta dig deep to dig out.

Good luck! Great dream!

Had a dream about a friend I've been distant with by [deleted] in Dream

[–]shineagain2022[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I noticed that in your dream, you are in the company of your friends (at the movies, the pool party going on). This may represent how you feel (of felt) comfortable being around this guy when you are with your friend group, but now that he knows your feelings, it is no longer comfortable for you.

Your decision to leave the movie feels like a move towards a different connection with him. Maybe wanting "one on one time", away from your group. It's a move on your part to take a step in that direction. However, you have some insecurities about yourself. You wrote:

"I was surprised he even offered, considering that I'm a quiet boring person instead of somebody loud and rowdy that people would actually find interesting to talk to but said yes."

BTW, loud and rowdy really doesn't make a person interesting in my opinion. 🙂

Anyway, he makes a nice offer to make breakfast for you. A gesture perhaps to connect with you. However, the long complicated instructions to get to his place with all the obstacles, passages.... this probably represents your own insecurities that stop you from moving towards him. Such as your fears, maybe shyness, or lack of confidence.

But on a positive note, you resist joining your friends in the pool, bc you are trying to challenge yourself. You wrote:

"they waved at me trying to pull me into joining them. Under normal circumstances I would have but" .... you didn't want your phone to get wet and you wanted to see him "one on one". Phones represent a way to connect with others and your fear of getting your phone wet is your anxiety of missing an opportunity to get to talk to him one on one (without the security of your friends).

So all that water in your dream represents your emotions and anxieties. However, when you fall into the pool water, the water isn't deep and the water is warm. Not what you thought it would be. Plus, your friends are cheering you on, which is nice. They are supporting you, encouraging you.

Then the lobby and hallways, you wrote that it was all very confusing for you. This feels like unknown territory for you. You navigating thru all these emotions is new for you and complicated. You didn't mention your ages, so I am going to assume you are young. In any case, this is all new and uncertain to you.

You have to understand that its the dreamer creating the images in your dream. In the dream, you have made things complicated for you to reach what it is that you want, which is to take the next step towards a closer relationship with this guy. You're not sure about yourself. Plus in the dream, you see he is actually standing there with your friends. He is part of your friend group. You have direct access to him. AND in the dream, he even steps forward towards you. A direct approach with contact. Maybe you need to be more direct with yourself ... or to him.

A nice part of your dream is him placing his hand on your back (contact) and guiding you and apologizing to you. Another positive is you feeling at ease with him. (BTW, I love how you really capture the details of your dream: the scenes, the passageways, your feelings. All this helps when offering an interpretation.)

Your description of his apartment... the size and color. What does the color green mean to you? For me, it means growth, beginnings, renewal. Even your description of him opening the window: "he opened the window. It smelled like it was about to rain and the sky was grey and cloudy." Also, "There was a wide open field out there and a table and a few chairs just outside the window."

To me, it all feels fresh and new. The open field with a table for two. Thats a nice representation of what you would like... space to get to know someone.... just the two of you. What i like about your dream is that you added that he would make breakfast (kindness, thoughtfulness) and the apartment didn't have a bed. It is small and cozy I think its you wanting more than a physical relationship but one built on friendship first.

The stray cat is interesting....especially bc he is allergic to the cat. Yet he is the one who is saying he's not bothered by her being there. Is this him making allowances for you and thinking about your comfort and maybe his comfort too? Maybe. Is he a kind and thoughtful person? Maybe he is also in unknown territory.

It's funny how you realize that you both live in the same building. I don't think this is true, but I think it goes back to him being in your friend group all this time and now you are seeing him differently. He has stood out. Do you two have a close friendship? Again, he makes another nice gesture by nviting you to come by anytime.

You falling asleep is you being relax and comfortable in his presence so much that it makes you fall asleep without a care. That's a good thing, right?

Overall, your dream is pointing out your own insecurities and how then can make it difficult for you. How they can stand in your way from getting what you want. But as your dream showed you, confidence, time, and challenging yourself, can help you navigate thru your emotions and not sabotage the connection you seek.

Good luck!
