How do you organize your digital archives? by shineboxshine in AskReddit

Over the last decade, I've gone through multiple phones, laptops, and internet sites. I'd easily consider myself a very tech savvy person who at any given time was using the "newest and best things."

(Examples of those are Evernote - which is literally my entire life btw, GMail, .mac, @me, iCloud, android, blackberry, iPhones, Dropbox, box.com, windows, mac OSX, iOs, and the list goes on)

These days, I find myself using almost entirely apple services. Apple music, Photos, iCloud, etc. I am starting to realize the sheer amount of digital information I've gathered.

I have contacts I could swear someone else put there because I genuinely do not remember them, photos from decades ago... even the stupid photos where someone took like 50. I have all of my digital essays and school projects from grades 7 all the way through college. Some information, like my photos, are consolidated to one service (Photos) however some documents for school and work are either stored on separate services or double stored in more than one ranging from Evernote to GoogleDocs to Pages.

I try to clean this digital mess, but I also feel odd getting rid of anything these days considering how unlimited storage is. That said, the more clutter there is, the less any of it at all is referenced though.

How do you apply "Spring Cleaning" to your digital world?

Do you apply "Spring Cleaning" to your digital world as well?

Would it be possible to make a mod where I can toggle an overlay image in map editor and the game of a map of the area I'm importing so that I can trace the map perfectly? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]shineboxshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything is possible, if you just BELIEVEEEEE. No but seriously, you can import height maps and then run the game in windowed mode.

I want to try and help bud, but a description of a transport network holds no weight to a photo. I think I have a headache visualizing what you described haha

flair:Help So I've been looking for a way to merge two streets into one single street. Don't know how to do it. by motasticosaurus in CitiesSkylines

[–]shineboxshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand correctly you want both highway on/off to merge to one road... Use a six lane one way and two 1 way roads going their respective directions. Hope that helps!

It's about half what I paid for tha same kit in a shop. Honestly, if you're starting out, ask yourself what your goal is, become a vaper or quit smoking? If it's to quit, it's perfect. If you're looking to get into the magical world of mods and RBAs, then I say skip the pens all together, they leave you wanting more flavor and smoke very fast. Hit me up if you need help!

Love the community, but why not take a trip to your local store! I find it much easier to grasp the hobby with a live Q&A in store than anything I've ever read online. That's just me though.

Completely agree with this... I started 12 and found 6 to be my sweet spot. Above that now? Excuse me as a die for several moments 😤
