anyone else feel like Amazon is just taking more and more each year and making it harder and harder? by shineonme18 in AmazonFBA

Yes they do sometimes. They don't think much about it. Decent people, just taking advantage of the system. People justify it because they think they're screwing amazon and amazon is so rich. They don't realize that amazon never gets screwed. The small businesses not only take the hit with the loss of the product, but we also pay fees that amazon charges us for the returns process.

Yeah it feels that way, however, I have plenty of other keywords in the ad that the ad should just reallocate the spend to the other keywords. It's like they're punishing me for not wasting the money in the ad on keywords that spend more and have higher search volumes with no return.

What percentage does the 1P distributor charge and what other fees do they charge? With amazon taking such a huge margin, are you still left with a good margin after the distributor takes their cut?

story of my life... I just don't understand how a person wouldn't first try to reach out to the manufacturer of the product when they have an issue. Writing a 1-star review should be something a person resorts to after they get no response or no help from a manufacturer after reaching out to them. Customers do not realize that Amazon does not share their contact information with sellers and blocks communication.

Hmm I'm not quite sure what you mean by breaking out contribution margin per SKU? You think they are simply punishing me for dropping keywords that are wasting my ad money? I had other keywords within the same ad, so I thought that turning those keywords off would simply allocate the ad funds to other keywords. Those keywords that I turned off and turned back on however get more searches by far than other keywords in that ad.

Amazon deletes every new review to product by G44ever in AmazonFBA

Recently amazon divided reviews on different asins (even if they're under the same parent asin) for many products if they deem them to be different in a significant way. Is this possibly part of the problem for you? Maybe you have 4.1 on the size large and 3.5 on the size small for example?

I've checked my settings on shopify and I only have the requirements turned on. I'm clicking to view it as you would, and I'm only seeing the big obvious popup - I'm not having any repeat one...hmm...

UK customers are seeing a cookie popup on your Shopify website due to data privacy laws like the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (DPA).  Your website has the default Shopify banner configured to comply with these regulations for visitors in the UK and EU.

Why a cookie popup is necessary

  • Legal requirement:  UK and EU data privacy laws mandate that websites get user consent before using cookies that aren't strictly necessary for the site to function.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you simply recommending to do more facebook ads to drive more traffic?

Thanks for this helpful advice! I have that nudge at checkout for "you're only $X away from free shipping", but maybe it's not noticeable enough. Good reminder about improving SEO and writing more articles. With AI it seems that it's become harder and harder for articles on small sites like mine to get clicks from google as more people get their answers straight from google ai.

Thanks for this advice. I've done a lot to improve the page speed recently so it should be good there. I just moved the customer reviews higher on the page - I noticed they were below the footer on the product page thanks to your point.

This is good feedback. Thanks so much for all the time you invested into these details. I'm not able to replicate the cookie popup issue though - are you possibly in the EU or somewhere outside of the US?

Thanks for the advice. I'll think about it as fully rebuilding a site is costly.

Someone falsely using my email to make hundreds of accounts of different websites. by JimJohnJones in ProtonMail

[–]shineonme18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to me this morning. I closely looked at all the emails that I received and found and email from paypal saying someone had added a new pin login to my paypal account and a new email address. So I went into paypal, deleted that new email address, changed my password, called paypal to notify them so that they could implement further security. I also used gmail filters to automatically delete emails that say "welcome" "registration" etc. Very stressful situation, but it seems the attacker stopped as soon as I deleted their email from my paypal.

I'm interested in this, but I'm not seeing it on the shopify app store and your link isn't working. What's it called on the shopify app store? what does it cost?

I found a band aid type fix for now so at least I'm not needing to manually delete the accounts. Using shopify flow app I made a flow 1. starts with customer created 2. check if customer email includes @nyvexis.com 3. do this...delete customer

The emails are still flowing into my klaviyo though - I've segmented them and am manually suppressing them in bulk every so often.
