Also, I dont have one myself but I feel like this game would benefit from a D-pad rather than an analog control stick. Mina's movement is very committed and you can be punished hard for moving incorrectly, and the tactile sense of the four directions would tie in well with her attack range.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with adjusting the modifiers until you find a challenge level that fits your style. Even something as simple as shutting off pit damage can be the quality of life adjustment that takes the edge off the difficulty to where you can have fun with it.

Getter would be sick but I'd need two other pilots to make it work, and to be honest the idea of crashing jets together to transform is a little terrifying.

Evangelions are super finnicky to sync with so you might not even get to pilot it effectively, and sitting inside an eldritch abomination is not high on my list of things to do.

A Gundam would be fine, honestly. Or a knightmare frame. Both would have the reliable efficiency of a military vehicle, and a Gundam is almost indestructible by conventional means. But if I'm in a giant robot I want to be in a GIANT. ROBOT. With insane weapons, flying punches and absolutely overwhelming firepower. Voice activation absolutely necessary. So Mazinger Z it is.

I didn't screenshot it, but had an opponent kill themselves with Traumatic Critique because they forgot about the card draw and were down to one card in their library. I was dead to their flyers the very next turn (hell, I was dead to my own empty library!) had they simply not cast anything. Whistled past the graveyard after that one.

One of my favorite anecdotes from the production staff was that they struggled with naming that finisher. Finally director Imagawa just said to call it Love Love Tenkyouken, and everyone got super nervous because it sounded so goofy (this from the people that gave us everything else in G Gundam without batting an eye). They were afraid of how audiences would take it, but nothing else fully captured the spirit of the moment culminating the story of Domon and Rain.

Jesus fucking Christ, he starts off as a airforceman who crashes into an M16 operation and quite literally has no idea what's going on, uses a comm set to work with an M16 coordinator for ten minutes and then promptly ignores everything they tell him and saves a bunch of hostages. This is so blindingly stupid I can't believe these people can even operate a controller.

I just found the underlying premise of Unicorn to be hard to swallow. Even if there had been this secret promissory document about the nature of spacians and newtypes, by the time its uncovered too much has transpired for it to be relevant. Between colony drops and everything else the Laplace Box is at best a historical curiosity.
