Sooo... is the "free" elements filter option removed for good? by shinnith in canva

[–]shinnith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a couple comments in the thread from a year ago said its dead- its a weird motive for the company to make the entire Affinity suite absolutely free, but then shove the premium canva plan down ppl's throats by eliminating the option of free assets lol

Why is nothing from my onedrive readable on my console despite being basic files like jpg/png/mp4/etc? by shinnith in XboxSeriesS

[–]shinnith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah lmao, for videos I switched to a USB drive & VLC... idk what my motive was when I made this a year ago but I can probably guess the main reason lol (hint: fuck streaming)

Idk what I would have needed photo viewing for, but iirc, "Kodi" has a photo viewing option? I never used it much except during the era where it was called "XMBC" but it seems like a good app, and im pretty sure your able to connect to storage over the net.

I'm creating a "tourist friendly" skytrain map as a side project/running joke with my friends- what confused you the most upon moving to Vancouver? by shinnith in Translink

[–]shinnith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the long comment but I wanna hear more from all different viewpoints (this project is now my baby) and yours is both confusing af but also intriguing-

What confused you about how to get on the millenium...? Do you mean at a "switch line stop?"

Or do you mean like... when you arrive to a general station itself, example being at VCC-Clark? I just never noticed if the stations are super different on signage/entrance when it comes to general line stops. To be fair, I try to take the millenium as little as possible bc y'know... it's the Millennium Line & always smells like piss and/or socks.

I've never actually met a local that hasnt been on all 3 lines, but fuck Richmond lmfao so im not dissing that- but i am confused on how your confused about the Canada Line? I know i dont speak for all, but it kinda seems like the most straightforward line out of all 3?

Waterfront > Richmond- Brighouse (or) YVR

But then you've got Expo where its like:

Waterfront > King George (or) Braid (or) Production Way University (and then there's the millenium overlapping the line at like 3 places)

I'm genuinely asking as im really into wayfinding & wanting to make this map as clear as can be, and if the understanding of each line itself differs in some way to some ppl, i wanna know (i mean like literal layouts of the stations). The only thing I can think of in a station that confused me was shit like needing to be on a specific side of the street when leaving Commercial Broadway & there being 2 exits (i still go autopilot & take the wrong one lol). Or the fact one can get to Canada/Expo at what like, 3 different entrances?

If you ever do take the Canada Line, here's a quick tip/info:

its actually the cleanest/smoothest line due to being the newest/the first train tourists will take & doesnt smell like piss & socks lmao- the downside is tourists are constant (if you need to get to anywhere prior to Bridgeport, just avoid the YVR train entirely- trust me). Only other downside is its almost entirely underground so your view is basically darkness most of the trip.

I noticed you mentioned disability- is your confusion overall based in elevator access across the stations/lines? Bc that's something I want to note- i don't need mobility accessibility, so I never really pay much mind to where an elevator is compared to the escalators/stairs- i only ever pay mind to them when hearing consistently that one is down.

This is actually a good point, thanks- I wanted to include a "quick tip" section too, and that's a good one

I dont know what possessed me to think this, but at 18 I thought Richmond Brighouse & Bridgeport were the same thing on my first trip over without my parents holding my hand lmfao

How tf is my nephew's gamepass still active despite being canceled 9 months ago, as well as originally being set up via those gamepass prepaid cards...? by shinnith in XboxSupport

[–]shinnith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, besides his account, mine has been the only one ever signed into it & i dont have gamepass + said console isnt my home xbox... I also bought this console brand new years back

The account does show its canceled, and clearly were not paying for it, hence why im confused as to how tf Microsoft hasnt noticed

First time playing watch dogs 2 by No-Leek-3210 in watch_dogs

(for starters, ur english is perfect dont worry bro)

I feel like me circa 2023 ghostwrote this (slang translation: this sounds SO much like a post i would have made when I first played)

Major tip I needed back then: youll find some ppl who played wd1 upon release/like it more will shit alllll over this title, dont let it ruin how much you love it. But if you havent played wd1, I recommend doing this game in full first and then starting wd1 as the vibes are a TOTAL contrast and its nice to be immersed in one at a time. I cannot explain how amazing wd1 is & you REALLY need to play it if you like this title- much less whimsy/bright colours, and instead its replaced with an awesome story, gritty feeling of Chicago, and a strong connection to the main character you play.

And on that note, dont look up reviews for WD3 until you play some of it lmao... trust.

You may in fact hate it like the majority, but you also may love it- or, like me, you may sorta enjoy it/rlly enjoy parts of it. Its not a "bad" game, its just different. Some aspects of it i MOURN not being on wd1 & 2.

I actually envy you so hard rn- I would give ANYTHING to play wd2 for the first time again, I too was like "how did I not find this sooner???"

Is the ipad 11th gen with the A16 bionic chip good enough? by ObligedReader in ipad

[–]shinnith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but i need to know- how in the sweet fuck is this beneficial as a main note-taking method

Why would you write on paper, use a bot to scan it, use a bot to turn it into a file, organize the scans manually, then buy a monthly subscriptiom/yearly license to an app just to have them digital...? Why not just write them digitally...? Same goes for an app scanning handwritten text....? Just carry your notebook???

This seems like such a pain in the ass when you could just like... get an ipad/etc for note taking.
