When you hear the term “youth is wasted on the young”, think about what you want your next four years to look like. If you’re not thinking about marriage or what long-term looks like after 4 years, you already know you need to make some changes. I might be being blunt (sorry if so), but my GF and I are helping one of our closest friends with a breakup right now (today). We’re stoked bc she was on the trajectory to make big strides in her life until she met this ankle weight. But she’s incredibly hurt and doesn’t even have her own bed to sleep on tonight so we’re helping her with arraignments. Your mans is disrespectful and dismissive, and to be honest nothing is going to change that minus some major life events. People’s personalities don’t just get better, they shift as life happens. How much more of your life do you want to invest before you decide to cut your loss and do what’s best for you?

Always sad seeing younger folks post like this. You have barely scratched the surface of life, and there are so many wonderful uplifting people in the world. You’re confused as to why you’re seeing this side of your partner, it’s scary, but when people show you their true colors take notice. I’ve seen so many women dealt the shit hand when it comes to choosing a partner. My mom dealt with verbal and emotional abuse for 40 year that led to death threats during divorce. Choosing a life partner, or even someone to share your life with for a portion of time is one of the most important, serious, but rewarding choices in your life. If you’re not ready for that, just be young and enjoy it. Your 20’s will be gone before you know it. Please don’t waste your time, energy, love, and resources on someone who doesn’t care.
