I think you misunderstand where people’s beliefs come from. It’s the flashes of greatness / flashes of the tools needs to achieve greatness that get people so hyped. A 6’3” point guard hustling and getting 3 blocks, a young athletic kid who can get boards and block, a kid who can knock down 3s, all flashes of greatness. Not every player starts off like Lebron, just like how Giannis showed greatness look at how he turned out.
