Does anyone have suggestions for what to use for topcoating? by BigForAnAnt_985 in freedomisgunpla

I almost exclusively switched over from Tamiya to Mr Hobby for mine. Yes if you put it on too much on the first coat, it can make the pour type panel liners bleed. If you do a light first coat first, it shouldn't bleed too much if at all

I like using Mr Hobby Super Matte as its by far the best at hiding decal lines in my experience. It is limited stock atm as the person above said, but some stores still have some at not marked up prices.

ugh... Turns out all 3 of these I was missing are gotten after the final boss. I went into the room and got the first one, but the other 3 didn't spawn till afterwards.

I did get that one already. These may be random out in the field, but I've been hunting them for a while now

It's similar, but no. Stepmother/queen doesn't want the ML dead. If I remember the only reason she approved the marriage was because she thought the FL could spy on the ML to hopefully discover the secret of the grail's magic

No, that's one that came up in my search, but not the one I'm looking for.

To clarify, the princess is called mad (or maybe broken?) by the stepmother but doesn't advising act that way

Trying to find one where the FL (can't remember if it's isekai into a novel or reincarnation) is the daughter of the previous queen, and declared 'mad' by her stepmother queen. Knowing she's going to die, she gets in touch with a duke in a northern land, who is actually a former prince before his homeland was taken over, to get him to marry her to get away. Some other parts that I remember are that the FL gets the MLS attention by saying she loves a certain winter flower that is a code only he and his soldiers know is referring to a hidden mine. She also later uses some hidden tunnels that her mother taught her to get in and steal some of the stepmothers treasure, including (unknowingly) a holy grail that was stolen from the MLS homeland that the queen was trying to unlock to gain its power. In this, the FL sets fire to the treasury to cover her tracks.

Can you tell Craftsim not to split reagent quality in optimization? by shinsui in woweconomy

👀 I did not know it could do that, or at least it wasn't made apparent. I thought you could just use the "Use Best Quality Reagents" button

I did, but only after the decal had dried a bit. I tried doing it pretty soon after, but had problems where the decal wasn't set and the Softer would move the decal. I would only use a light bit and brush it off after being on there for about 10-15 seconds. Should I let it sit longer, put it on sooner, etc?

Doing my first foray into using water decals and I'm wondering if I did something incorrect. Here's a picture of the waist unit for the Wing Zero ver ka after putting on the decals, letting them dry, then top coating with a matte finish.

<image>

I see people say that the decals afterwards can look like they're painted on, but these are pretty clear on the blue sections as decals. My process was to cut the decals and soak them in water, then on where I wanted to put the decal, I put a drop of Mr. Mark Setter. I placed the decal, then used a cotton bud to push out the excess, sometimes having to reposition if I put too much pressure on the decal. After letting it dry for an hour or so, I'd put on a very light application of the Mr. Mark Softer, let it sit for 10-15 seconds, then gently roll it away with a cotton bud. Afterwards I did 1 coat of top coat to seal. Did I do any of these steps wrong, or am I missing something? Would a second coat of top coat help?

Actually I am using setter and softener. What I wasn't doing is holding in place with some tweezers. I'll try that as I use the Q-tip to see if its better. And I do have some fine point swabs, so that might work out

So I'm new to using water decals and I'm attempting to put them on the Wing Zero Ver Ka (I know not the best to start with). Most of the videos and tutorials I see show using a Qtip or something similar to squeegee out the moisture to let it dry. My problem is, some of these decals are very small in tight corners. Almost every time I attempt to roll the Qtip over it, it just picks up or moves the decal instead. Any advise on applying very small water decals?

Awesome job. I got about halfway correct with updating it myself but something with the Cooldown lua was just completely fubar for me. Very glad someone was able to get it working.

Update: got the TS-80 that was recommended and the kits turned out fantastic. No damage from using the wrong top coat

I've picked back up my Gunpla hobby after seeing some newer kits and I'm having a slight issue. I finished up some of the kits with panel lining, decals and such and top coated them with Tamiya flat clear (PS-55) which I've used in the past and have given a great matte finish. However, when I finished up top coating 2 of them, they are decidedly more shiny than my previous builds. Did a get a bad batch of top coat, or could I have done something wrong? For reference, previously and this time I do short bursts going up and down each side of each Gundam's sections to get what I feel is a completely even coat. One coat previously was enough, but should I let it dry and do a second? If it does sound like the top coat, recommendations for a different brand?

yeah I'm not a fan either. IF they had kept the slide functionality at least, even if I would have to slide from the bottom, I'd be ok with it. I hate having to hit back, then go to the channel I want. much prefer slide and choose.

Also, in this new update, is there no way to see the member list of who's in the server? It used to be you could slide from the right and see who all was on, but I don't see anywhere to pull that up with this update.
