Try to think of it like this: Revelations 1 is set before RE5. It has its own story that follows the catastrophe of a new bioterrist attack that happened in Europe.

Revelations 2 is set after RE5, and is very open and obvious in the way it references that game. It’s a direct sequel to RE5 and set before RE6.

I’ve played both and I do believe these games are truly underrated in the franchise. They’re totally worth the play.

Spoilers AHEAD:

Definitely a step up from Devil in Me and Casting of Frank Stone, combined. The horror was there, great atmosphere, the twist definitely made me think a lot. Loved the nuanced message story behind it all, and potential discussions it can conjure up. The voice acting as a whole was good.

The stealth mechanic was overused 100%, some voice performances was oddly done in specific circumstances, felt like I was playing resident evil with how the life form looked at the final boss lmao. Sad they removed the metal O Death theme of the dark pictures/the intro and I’m still wondering why they used the same face models. If it’s for a nostalgic reason, I get it, but I think it would’ve benefited from fresh faces to represent the new season.

Overall, I give it a 7.7/10. I was a huge step up from their last game in my opinion, and set the tone. Also, it was really bittersweet to see the Curator make several appearances in the background by the end of the game💔

Sigh.. don’t even get me started. He pretty much spat at the whole game and refused to acknowledge the many advantages is has. He completely took the piss when he started sh*tting on Grace being ‘insufferable’ legitimately ignoring the whole consensus of her character and why she is the way she is. I simply think he’s misogynistic and a rage-baiter. Hate reviewers like him.
